[PROPOSAL] R&U Change for Special Kinfolk

by Jenn Louise

April 5th, 2013

The following proposal to change the R&U Bylaws will remove
3.C.1.Supernatural Kinfolk and
3.D.1.Semi-Supernatural Kinfolk from the R&U bylaws.

It will also remove 4.G.i and 4.G.ii from the Grouping and Definitions section of the R&U bylaws and will replace them with the following.
Adding to the R&U Bylaws = 3.D.1.Special Kinfolk.
Adding to the R&U Bylaws = 4.G.i. A Special Kinfolk is defined as a kinfolk that is a Vampire, Changeling, Kuei-jin, Gypsy, Mage, Mummy, Drone, Kami, Fomori, or Gorgon.  This also includes kinfolk which have Hedge Magic, Numina, True Faith, or the Merit Fae Blood.

The point of this proposal is to move all R&U types of kinfolk to one entry under Coord Approval. This has been in discussion for a fairly long time with the CBC office and I'm fairly comfortable suggesting that the application of the Kinfolk Merit to other Supernatural creature types be places solely under the control of the CBC office.

[PROPOSAL] Addition of the Knights of the Blood (for Ventrue-Antitribu) to the Societies & Orders of the Ventrue

by Jenn Louise

April 5th, 2013

OWbN's Coordinator Bylaws, section 3.C.iii. state: "Genre Coordinators must pass before Council any plot, enforced policy, R&U named characters, or binding edict they wish to use which they can reasonably expect to affect multiple chronicles and these proposals need not be seconded, but go immediately into discussion."
Proposal:
The Ventrue Coordinator is proposing the immediate addition of the Sabbat version of the Knights of the Blood, an evolution of the original Knights of the Blood from the Dark Ages, to be added to the "Societies & Orders of the Ventrue" Document.
The description of the Knights of the Blood (google doc) can be found at the following link:
This proposal, if not objected to within one week, will auto-pass.
Supporting Statements
The Knights of the Blood (the Antitribu version) are directly descended from those Ventrue who, during the Anarch Revolt, joined the Sabbat when their ideals were challenged by their merchant main-clan cousins. Unlike the OWbN-created Camarilla version of the Knights of the Blood, the Sabbat version was envisioned from the question, "What would 700 years of evolution do to an order based in the belief of divine right, and empowered through their own brutality?"
This prop is the second of two (the other being the Black Cross passed earlier) aimed at increasing the resources available to Ventrue-Antitribu players and Storytellers.
This document had been posted to the OWbN Scepter-OOC Googlegroup for a significant amount of time, and I would like to thank everyone whose feedback contributed to making this doc a great resource for the Antitribu. The main point of feedback which delayed this proposal coming to Council was the decision over whether to change the name of the group, or not. In the end, the majority of respondents were split about 50/50. I decided to go with keeping the name the same, and in-character, both groups will operate from the belief that "side" are the true inheritors of the group's namesake.
Thank you,
- Brian Orlando

Proposal for a new email server for the Org stuff... cuz we keep breaking it...

by Jenn Louise

April 5th, 2013

In looking at what we have paid for the last year, we only paid $150. The new email server will be more expensive, (Maximum $263.00) but quite frankly, unless people want to have moderated lists, we need to pony up and pay for it. We cannot have the lists crashing on us.

I am requesting that those chronicles who have donated at least $10 for 2013 and are noted as such on the website, agree that this cost is indeed necessary and we get a general consensus to go forward.
Please note that per the bylaws, ONLY chronicles who have donated for the current year may vote on financial matters.

My bad... $121.61 plus $149.26 was the recurring charge. Total is $270.87

[Proposal] Changes to Administrative Bylaw 7.C.i and 7.C.i.1.a [Autopass] - Allowing Chronicle Admission Votes for Probation to Autopass

by Jenn Louise

April 5th, 2013

[Proposal] Changes to Administrative Bylaw 7.C.i and 7.C.i.1.a [Autopass]

Hello ladies and Gentleman,

As Admissions Coordinator I propose the following changes to Administrative Bylaw 7.C.i and 7.C.i.1.a. The Changes are detailed below.

Reasoning -7.C.i: Streamlining of the Admissions Process. Most games have been admitted for their probationary period mainly so we can see what they can do. Adding a vote for games who have worked well with Coordinator and local storytelling staff adds a needless extra step. Those worthy of being let in should be, and those who need to be objected to for vote can follow standardized voting procedures.

7.C.i.1.a: Most games working through their probationary period take a little longer than the standard 6 month time frame. Elsewhere in the bylaws we state it shouldn't be more than a year - this clarifies the target period, as well as allows us to work at a games comfortable pace without pumping them through the process.Changes DetailedFrom:

  1. Probationary Vote
    1. The Admissions Coordinator, a Sub-Coordinator, or a duly appointed representative will then submit the Application for a "Probationary Admission" vote to the OWBN Council for the discussion period and Admission Vote.
      1. Possible results for the initial Admissions Vote are:
        1. Admission to OWBN for a 6 Month probation
        2. Denial of admission

To:

  1. Probationary Vote
    1. The Admissions Coordinator, a Sub-Coordinator, or a duly appointed representative will then submit the Application for a "Probationary Admission" vote to the OWBN Council for the discussion period and Admission Vote. If there are no objections during the discussion period, the game Auto-Passes into its Probationary Period.
      1. Possible results for the initial Admissions Vote are:
        1. Admission to OWBN for a 6-12 Month probation
        2. Denial of admission

Thanks,

-Luke
