Coordinator Applications Extended until Midnight tonight!

by Jenn Louise

February 26th, 2013

From our Head Coordinator:

Due to extenuating circumestances, and per the power of the OWbN By-Laws, I am able to extend the acceptance period for applications until the end of February 25th without Council action.

As such, I am doing so.

GET THEM IN TODAY.

Here is the clip from the Adminstrative By-Law 4

Coordinator Elections

A. Head Coordinator Elections

  1.
    1. The Head Coordinator shall be elected every February and shall serve until the end of elections the following year.
    2. Nominations for the position shall open on February 1st and close at the same time on February 7th.
    3. Voting will last until February 14th. In the case of a tie, voting will be held February 15th through 22nd with the former Head Coordinator serving during the interim. No other proposals may be passed or introduced during this runoff.
    4. No proposals relating to this election, election process, or the voting procedure may be proposed nor ratified within seven (7) days of the beginning of the voting period until the end of the election(s).

B. Other Coordinator Elections

  1.
    1. The Head Coordinator will nominate all other Coordinators.
    2. The Head Coordinator will accept applications for nominations for a minimum of one (1) week from the time the application procedure opens, which must be posted to the Council, ST, OWBN-OOC, and mailing lists in addition to the OWbN website.
      1.
        1. The Head Coordinator is required to nominate any applicant who has the support of five (5) or more member chronicles of OWBN. They may decline candidates with less support at their discretion.
        2. Each candidate must list prominently on their application from where their support is coming.
          1. Chronicles may support more than one candidate in this manner and they do not have to vote for the candidate(s) they supported.
    1. Should only one person submit an application for a given position, then the Head Coordinator may nominate that one applicant without a second applicant on the same ballot or extend the time for collecting applications as the Head Coordinator sees fit.
    2. The Ballot will be presented to Council three (3) days before the voting period begins for discussion, but no later than February 25th without a ratified proposal granting the Head Coordinator an extension.

-->Robert

CM, Kings of New York

Position: Assistant Head Coordinator (AHC) - 2 positions

Candidates: Linsey "Echo" Guertin (incumbent), Daniel "Desastrado" Martins Ferreira, Alissa Ammerman, Autumn Wright

Applications: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/ahc-1

CM Recommendations: Echo & Daniel

Position: Admissions Coordinator

Candidates: Luke Philippi

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/admissions

CM Recommendation: Luke's done a great job.

Position: Finance Coordinator

Candidates: LeAmber Kensley

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/finance

CM Recommendation: LeAmber has kept our money safe in Canada for over a decade. She's got this.

Position: Camarilla Coordinator

Candidates: Jenn Bahrs & Brendan Ammerman

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/camarilla

CM Recommendation: MEEEEEEEEE!!!!! :)

Position: Sabbat Coordinator

Candidates: Adam Sartori

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/sabbat

CM Recommendation: Our lovely KoNY HST, Adam.

Position: Anarch Coordinator

Candidates: Geoffrey Combs (incumbent)

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/anarch

CM Recommendation: Abstain, unless the player base has a strong opinion. I haven't had any visibility to the genre to advise.

Position: Assamite Coordinator

Candidates: Lex Lopez & Brad Klinger (incumbent)

Applicationa: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/assamite

CM Recommendation: Lex Lopez, our local.

Position: Brujah Coordinator

Candidates: Dave Lazarek (incumbent) & Jason Robinson

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/brujah

CM Recommendation: Dave has done a lot for the genre, and emphasized that the players should guide the ways that the Clan should progress. Jason is a more argumentative individual on Council, and I don't know how well he would work with the team.

Position: Gangrel Coordinator

Candidates: Joseph Sherrange, Carlos Eduardo Torres, Eddie Milham, James Sampers

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/gangrel

CM Recommendation: I recommend Joe S. (Eddie opened election discussion with insults, and my experience with James while I was HST of NOLA2010 left a very poor impression. I don't know Carlos.)

Position: Giovanni Coordinator

Candidates: Hugo Klessing (incumbent), Chuck Farmer

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/giovanni

CM Recommendation:   Abstain, unless the player base has a strong opinion. I haven't had any visibility to the genre to advise.

Position: Lasombra Coordinator

Candidates: Joan Mergiliano

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/lasombra

CM Recommendation: Our lovely KoNY AST, Joan.

Position: Malkavian Coordinator

Candidates: Mark Koenig

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/malkavian

CM Recommendation: Mark is awesome and has continued to do a good job to represent his genre without becoming an overbearing force of NPC use.

Position: Nosferatu Coordinator

Candidates: "Sooper" - Mike B.

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/nosferatu

CM Recommendation: Abstain. I do not feel Sooper has done a great job for genre or working with other coordinators to ensure an overall responsible approach to genre, but if players really want to vote for him we can.

Position: Setite Coordinator

Candidates: Jennifer Lee (incumbent) & Scott Logan & Merle Walton

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/setite

CM Recommendation: Jenn Lee. The players who've interacted with her have spoken well of her ability to communicate and adapt to the needs of chronicles and players so I don't see a need for change.

Position: Toreador Coordinator

Candidates: Jonathan Gravely

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/toreador

CM Recommendation: Jonathan comes recommended by the previous Coordinator, Chris Foster, and was one of Foster's primary subcoordinators. This should be a smooth transition for continuity and administration.

Position: Tremere Coordinator

Candidates: Alex Rushing

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/tremere

CM Recommendation: Alex Rushing, so we can continue to have someone to blame.

Position: Tzimisce Coordinator

Candidates: Derek Howard (incumbent)

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/tzimisce

CM Recommendation: Derek Howard

Position: Ventrue Coordinator

Candidates: Brian Orlando (incumbent)

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/ventrue

CM Recommendation: Brian Orlando. I'm happiest that he's a Justi-Coord that remembers that his Clan has a presence in the Sabbat as well, and gives the Sabbat genre Clan Coordinator attention.

Position: Ravnos Coordinator

Candidates: Vincent Lanum (incumbent), William Lee, Joshua Wasta

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/ravnos

CM Recommendation: William Lee. I don't really feel like Vincent has done much, and Wasta's already quit one Coordinator position before.

Position: Changing Breeds Coordinator

Candidates: Justin Quigley & Ken Mattson

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/changing-breeds

CM Recommendation: Abstain, unless the player base has a strong opinion. I haven't had any visibility to the genre to advise.

Position: Demon Coordinator

Candidates: Jason Clark, Robert Beckett (incumbent)

Application: http://www.owbn.net/coord-applications/2013/demon

CM Recommendation: Jason Clark. Under Robert Beckett, infernalism and Baali have become so rampant as to not be about the presonal horror of such a corrupted soul, but rather, convenient shopping lists for terrible power-gaming. We need a change, and Rob Beckett isn't getting this done but rather making matters worse.
