Killer known as ‘The Assassin’ stalks the streets of New Haven

‘The Assassin’ murderer terrorizes the city

After the body of 35 year old Emily Sharp was found earlier in the week, the police have now finally issued a statement saying that the murder was the act of an individual being dubbed ‘the Assassin’.

While the NHPD did not confirm that this murder was linked to others in recent months, they did imply that the M.O. of the killing was familiar to them. An eyewitness was able to provide information to a sketch artist, and the drawing is being circulated in the hopes of preventing another murder.

The Police stated that the victim had been killed by having her blood drained through two puncture wounds on the neck. A process that was described as a ‘grotesque and slow’ method of murder.

The unusual nature of the case, means that the FBI has been brought in to assist local law enforcement. 

With the Assassin at large, the people are demanding that the New Haven City Council do more to keep the streets safe!

Under the hospitality of Prima Inter Pares, Preston Jennings, the Justicariate of the Camarilla met to bring an end to the hostilities between the Camarilla and Sabbat. Due to the short notice required for this Conclave, two Justicar’s appointed local members of their clan to represent them. The treaty was signed by all parties and the war between our two sects is now at an end.

Other Matters of the Conclave

 Art Morgan of Clan Gangrel, used his status as Architect to bring up for discussion the re-entry of Clan Gangrel into the Camarilla. Mr Morgan made an impassioned speech, extolling the virtues and loyalty of his clan in recent years. While Justicar Warwick was openly hostile to the idea, Justicar DiZagreb elected to table this discussion for another time.

Imperator Karsh has overstepped his position within the Camarilla and the Justicairate hereby suspends all of the rights and privileges of the Imperator’s office.This suspension shall remain until he is questioned by the Justicariate to determine his level of guilt or innocence. It was suggested to Clan Gangrel that they should find the Imperator and deliver him to the Justicariate for judgement. It was implied that doing so would help with Art Morgan’s appeal.

The new Sovereign Kindred Nation of Avalon is not an enemy nor a friend of the Camarilla. Justicar Lucinde will lead diplomatic efforts in relation to Avalon. Her Power may employ citizens of the Camarilla to assist with this work.

Post-Game Announcements

Thankyou and Announcements!

We realize we are a little late with our post game announcement here, but its been a busy week for us all. But once again we just want to say thank you all for attending, it was a great night to run and we hope you had fun playing!

We always appreciate feedback, or anyone who wants to share a favorite moment from the event! Please feel free to post either below!

We want to say a special thank-you to Jen and Gabe, for playing NPC roles for us during the latter part of the evening!

We also want to thank two of our old friends, Joe and Trevor, as well as our current players, Aleks and Scarlett, for working so hard to create the Video Logs that were used for the underground bunker scene. We hope all those of you that were part of that scene enjoyed themselves and that we got you suitably creeped out.

The Tremere Tribunal

Next month, before the main game, we will be running the Tremere Tribunal. This ‘courtroom drama’ style mini-event will see our Tremere players work together to seek justice, within the confines of the Warlock’s strict hierarchy. This Tribunal will be to mark Jim Williams retirement of the character of Clayton Lafayette, the outspoken Seneschal of New Haven. While Clayton is not on trial, it was his drive and Influence that called for this trial. So the outcome of this Tribunal will determine his future within Clan Tremere.

Please let us know in your journals if you want to come along and participate. And let us know what kind of role you would like to play. At this point we have everyone we need for the actual Tribunal Council. However you can play either of the following.

A Witness - A member of the Clan who has been called forth by either the defense of the prosecution because you were either present when the accused committed their crime, or because you are an expert on a particular subject that bears relevance to this case.

A Spectator - Unless extreme discretion is required, matters of Tremere justice are always open to be viewed by other members of the Clan. You will not have a role to play in the trial itself, but you murmur and gasp in shock and surprise at the twists and turns of the Tribunal.

The Camarilla invites you all to witness a moment in history tonight, as the Justicariate and the representatives of the Sabbat sign a treaty that will finally bring an end to the horrifying violence between our two sects.

The Peabody Museum will be host to this historical event, and all attending Kindred are reminded that this is a traditional Elysium, so you are all expected to behave in accordance with the rules, or risk dire consequences.

The next exciting installment of New England Nightmares is running tonight at Friendship Lodge in Southington. Doors open at 6pm and we aim to start game at around 7.

The Turning of the Page

With mounting pressure on the Justicariate to finally bring an end to the conflict between the Camarilla and the Sabbat, a Conclave has been called, once again, in the city of New Haven. While organizing such an event on such short notice is unprecedented, many feel that the looming threat of Avalon necessitates a quick conclusion to these already drawn-out negotiations.

The verbosely named ‘Treaty of Karsh and Inumbrate’s Folly’ will be signed by all members of the Justicariate (or one of their chosen representatives). All those who have served as ‘Voice of the Tower’ will be relieved of the weight of that status and a delegation from the Sabbat will be sent to countersign the new Accords.

But are the Justicars truly as welcome in New Haven as they used to be? There are many in the city who are not happy with the decisions and declarations they have made in recent months.

Tensions run high in New Haven… But don’t they always?

Game is On for next Saturday

The next exciting installment of New England Nightmares is running next Saturday the 17th August at Friendship Lodge in Southington. Doors open at 6pm and we aim to start game at around 7.

DTA Deadlines and Next Game

DTA Deadlines and Responses

Just a reminder to you all, the DTA deadline is this Sunday, August 4th. Please get your responses in sooner if you can. The primary DTA ST (Sam) is returning to Avalon for reconditioning in the beginning of August and will only be returning a few days before the night of the next game, so DTA responses may be a little more brief than usual.

Next Game!

New England Nightmares will be running again on Saturday August 17th, and we will be back to using the full (Newly Refurbished!) lodge again. We will also be back up to full strength in our ST team, having Lurch back with us again. See you all in a few weeks time!

Game tonight at lodge!

New England Nightmares - In The House of Madness

Tonight Nightmares will be running at the Lodge. Site will be open at 6pm and we will be aiming to start game at 7pm.

In-Game Location

The gathering of the New Haven Court will take place tonight in the Mezzanine meeting room of 225 Church Street, also known as the Malkavian Sanctuary. The Prince would like to remind all the kindred of his domain, that while this location is not an Elysium, he still expects that all members of the court will conduct themselves with decorum and civility. The Malkavians inform you all that the building has been cleared of mortals for the night and also give you this message.
