Echoes of Blood
Prince Jennings welcomed the domain to his newly refurbished club for the evening, in an exclusive area of the New Haven downtown. As the court came together, it became clear this would be a busy night…
A Prince in Exile
Many members of the court were stunned to see the now-deposed Prince of London walk into the venue, flanked by two of his childer, and practically throw himself on the mercy of Prince Jennings.
Sir John DeMontford, Elder of Clan Ventrue, and the figurehead who announced that the UK was no longer a part of the Camarilla, negotiated with his Clan mate for hospitality and protection. he requested something referred to as ‘The Ethic of Succor’ which only the Ventrue in the room seemed to understand.
DeMontford’s childer also circulated around the court, each with a different agenda. Lord Montgomery Watson, former Harpy of London, sought allies for his brood, trading his esoteric knowledge for favors. However his other child, Hans Nyder, a former officer of the Nazi SS, seemed to wish to interrogate members of the court, and managed to make himself thoroughly disliked in a very short time.
However, DeMontford seemed to come to some kind of deal with the Prince, and the three of them left with his hospitality.
The Mass Abduction
Shortly afterwards, the entire domain was affected by some form of immensely powerful magic. All members of the court were mystically transported to East Rock Park, and shifted into the Shadowlands, the plane of existence where the souls of the restless dead reside.
There the entire domain found themselves facing the nameless Necromancer and his hoard of wraiths and specters. He immediately began drawing power from every kindred present, taking the very energy within their Vitae to empower his ritual. And the subject of his ritual was a great wraithly three headed beast, an old enemy of the domain known as Triat.
Seneschal Lafayette immediately recognized that the nameless one was attempting to resurrect Triat, so he could threaten the entire domain one more. Gathering all of his necromantic might, he lead the attack as the entire court was plunged into a battle… the undead vs the truly dead…
But the nameless one used dark magic to change the topography of the shadowlands, trapping many kindred in winding mazes of black walls. While the nameless fought with the most powerful members of domain, he separated off one group of kindred to be torn apart by an army of wraiths. While another group he trapped in a maze with the Triat beast, so he could consume their Vitae and complete his resurrection.
But the nameless had underestimated the Senechal’s preparations, and Triat found his ‘helpless’ victims were in fact armed with spectral weapons, forged from the soil of his homeland, his only bane. The group used these weapons to tear through Triat’s previously invulnerable hide and sent his soul to oblivion.
The other group was shielded from the attacking wraiths by the actions of the Scourge and the Nosferatu Primogen Matteo, who used their Fortitude and their wits to prevent other members of the domain from being harmed until help could arrive.
Despite all his might, the combined forces of the domain destroyed the nameless one. And as he fell his body was consumed in flames, revealing the source of his immense power. Infernalism!
Strife between the Blue Bloods
Once the domain had returned to world of the living, the drama in court continued. First, Marcellus, Archon of the Ventrue Justicar, arrived at court and demanded that John DeMontford be brought to him. And was denied!
And hot on his tails, came yet another Elder Ventrue, Thomas Carlyle, Chamberlain of the Baronies of Avalon. Also seeking DeMontford on behalf of the new Prince of London.
Meanwhile, other members of the domain received a final message from an old friend and ally, where they learned more of the dark fate that had befallen him. And the Gangrel abruptly left the Court on some urgent matter, and returned a while later by appearing from nowhere directly in front of the Prince and Seneschal.
New Haven is never a quiet town…

The Tremere Tribunal
Within the strict authoritarian structure of Clan Tremere, political turmoil has been stirring for some time. A powerful and influential member of the Clan is believed to have committed serious crimes allegedly bypassing the chain of command and violating the Oath. Clan Tremere takes justice within its ranks very seriously, and at the behest of Clayton Lafayette, the war hero who has brought an end to many of the Clan’s enemies, a Tribunal has been called.
A panel of Tremere Regents and Lords will be assembled, and the accused will be brought before them to be judged. Clayton Lafayette, as the Regent calling the Tribunal, will be remaining impartial. His colleague Sir Basiel Stirling, will be prosecuting. And the defendant will undoubtedly find representation to build the case for his defense.
A tribunal of this audacity, since the accused holds immense status within the Camarilla, is a rare and controversial event. Clayton, his future and reputation within the Clan on the line, so certain is he that this Tribunal is righteous and necessary.
Come witness Warlock justice in acton!
Details
As we announced at game, in either July or October, we will be running a smaller ‘pre-game’ event. We are hoping to start the event at around 4:30pm, and then run our normal event afterwards. If you wish to attend, please create a Journal entry entitled ‘Tremere Tribunal’ and specify what kind of NPC role you will want to play from the choices below.
- A Member of the Tribunal Board - This role be playing one of the powerful Tremere Lord or Regents, who will make the judgement of the accused. We have a maximum of 7 of these roles available, and you will need to have a strong understanding of how Clan Tremere’s history and how the Clan as a whole operates.
- Witnesses - You will be given some details of an events that you were present for, that may be either incriminate or exonerate the accused. You will be called to sit in the witness stand and will be cross examined.
- Onlookers - You are simply there to observe, gasp and gossip and murmur with the other Onlookers. You just want to observe Tremere history in the making.
Once we have your journal entry, we will give you an outline on the kind of character we will need you to play. (But most of the characters identity and history will be up to you.) We will also give you other details, such as your generation, your XP and your Clan Status.
We hope to see many of you there for this ‘bonus’ Clan specific event. If this little ‘pre-game’ experiment proves to be a success, we may consider running other Clan specific events in the same style at a later date.
