Echoes of Blood
The Camarilla is stabilizing again, the authority structure of the Ivory Tower restored as the Justicariate takes back full power. The Camarilla armies are withdrawing from battle lines, as the forces of the Sabbat do the same. Imperator Karsh has been silent and has vanished from the public eye. Many Prince’s who openly supported Karsh, are now ingratiating themselves with the Justicars again. But, yet no call for the Imperator’s abdication. There is no doubt that staggering numbers of Boons are being exchanged behind closed doors, smoothing over the unpleasantness of the war. But such an outcome is not really a surprise. This is, after all, the way that the Camarilla was always meant to work.
A New Kindred Nation
But some of the events of the war cannot be smoothed over. The loss of hundreds of the oldest and most populated Camarilla Domains in the world, the entirety of the United Kingdom, was more devastating to the stability of the Ivory Tower than anything lost during the war with the Sabbat. Now declaring themselves to be ‘The United Baronies of Avalon’, the eyes of the Kindred world now fixate upon London. But it seems many of the mysteries behind the rise of Avalon, were seeded in New Haven. This city has not seen the end of its days in the spotlight.
Adversaries in every corner
Even though the streets of New Haven are now clean of the plague of CeeVee, things are far from quiet. A powerful foe, who still remains nameless, harnesses the energies of the Shadowlands in an attempt to resurrect a dangerous old foe. A force of Garou remain in the city, despite their recent defeat. The pack moving through the streets undetected, observing and waiting, drawn here by some Agenda they have not revealed.
And the Court of Prince Jennings courts new controversy, as a Vizier (in fact, the only one in the city) is appointed to the Primogen council. But since the Prince has already appointed a Gangrel Primogen, this leaves the Primogen council now capable of deadlock. While Gangrel have greater numbers in the city, they do not truly have a right to a seat. Whereas an Assamite Vizier need only invoke his status as a Pillar of the Tower.
But then politics is never easy where Kindred are concerned….
We will be running one week from today, so the deadline for your Downtime action, as usual, is this Sunday night. If you are an influence user, please check out the document on the post before this, for some updates on Influence Use.
Apologies that your ST team have not been as available for queries and online scenes as much as we have been in previous months. We’ve all had a crazy month...
May 2nd, 2019
The ST’s are very happy with how active your downtimes actions are now, and we are enjoying seeing how many of you are playing the Influence game. It is adding a great extra dimension to the game, and we want you all to continue to make your mortal puppets dance.
But now we’ve been running the Influence game for a some time, we have made some decisions on some of the ‘fuzzier’ areas of Influence use, and we have compiled a few clarifications and calls that we have made. Please see the document linked below.
If you have any questions, please contact the ST team, and we will happily help to answer them.

New Haven Register - 04/15/19
It’s been the plague of our city, and indeed, much of New England. The mysterious drug known as CeeVee, or Crimson Crystal appeared on the streets a few years ago. It then built up into an epidemic in the last 6 months, as the highly addictive drug found its way into all levels of society. The drug in its various forms caused almost instant dependency, and could lead to aggression, anxiety and often death within months.
Even withdrawal from CeeVee was often lethal, with mortality rate of almost a third of addicts treated. But suddenly, in the past few weeks, this drug seems to have abruptly stopped.
The number of police reports related to CeeVee have dropped down to zero, the addicts on the streets have disappeared and the supply of this drug into the city seems to have ended for now. Police have no explanation for this sudden reversal in our city’s fortune.
In addition, during the past two weeks, a non profit organization known as ‘The Meshtemple Group’ which normally specializes in researching blood based diseases and cancers, has released a treatment protocol for recovering addicts that uses already available drugs, such as Warfrin and Entresto, to prevent the seizures and cardiac events that withdrawal usually causes.
While no explanation for this turn of events is forthcoming, the mayor's office, the emergency services and indeed all residents of New Haven are grateful for this reprieve from the horrors of this deadly drug.

Nightmares will be running on Saturday the 20th of April and we will be at the Lodge. Site will be open at 6pm and we will be aiming to start game at 7pm.
The armies of both the Sabbat and Camarilla withdraw, as the opening negotiations revealed that neither side can safely sustain these hostilities anymore. While the Camarilla’s forces are still more numerous and powerful than what remains of the Sabbat, the defection of former High Myrmidon Joran Marcovi to the enemy has tipped the balance of the war to a deadlock. The best that could be achieved now would be pyrrhic victory.
The next stage of the negotiations will take place this coming weekend, ArchBishop Cornelius has agreed to meet the Camarilla delegates in the newly refurbished New Haven Masonic Lodge, a new venue for the Court to meet, setup by the Harpy Nyles Rothschild. The process of hashing out new accords presses on.
But even as the Sabbat threat takes a step back from center stage, there are many other mysteries that must be solved. The Ceevee epidemic, the turmoil in the realm of the dead, the discord in the Digital Domain and the mysterious pulse of energy that washed over the city last month, must all be seen to.
Even without the looming war, the nights in the city are never truly peaceful…
Please get these in to us as soon as you can. In order to give us enough time to get proper responses out, the DTA deadline is tonight. (Sunday 14th April)

New Haven Register - 04/12/19
At around 3am this morning, residents all across the city found themselves awoken by an oddly melodic howl that was reported all across the coast. Residents from as far apart as West Haven and Stamford all heard the odd ‘otherworldly’ noise.
The noise lasted for only a few seconds, not long enough for anyone to attempt a recording. But all those who heard it described it as ‘oddly beautiful’ and ‘like a chorus of wolves in harmony’. It seems to have had a profound effect on some people, who found themselves crying when they heard it.
Those who claimed that the noise made them cry say that it was ‘amazingly cathartic’ and this morning they feel like they have a new positive outlook on the world.
Town Hall has said that they have no idea where the noise came from and have no leads on the source of it. The Press Officer for the Mayor says that it ‘could be a prank, a synthesized noise played through wireless speakers through the city. Or maybe it was an animal pack with a highly unusual vocal range between them. We simply have no idea, nor do we know where to start looking.’
(Note: All kindred in the city would have heard the same sound. If you have heightened senses you would be able to pick up that the noise was composed of over 20 different voices, but you can’t tell if they were human, animal or synthesized. None of you experienced any of the cathartic emotional effects though.)
