Character Creation
Character Creation follows the guidelines laid out in Changeling 20 and the OWBN C20 MET conversion Packet. Characters begin with 60xp.
Open Availability: Boggans, Eshu, Ghille Dhu, Nockers, Pooka, Redcaps, Satyrs, Sluagh, Trolls, and Sidhe of Houses Dougal, Eiluned, Fiona, Gwydion, Liam, and Scathach.
Please note that Attribute Traits, Abilities, etc granted by Birthrights and House Boons allow a Character to exceed their normal maximums (Boggans may have Crafts x6, Redcaps can have Intimidation x6, etc). In the case of Birthrights that grant Abilities such as Crafts (the Nocker Birthright, for example), only the type of Crafts chosen for the Birthright may be raised to x6, not all types of Crafts.
For other concepts, please speak with a Storyteller and have an idea of your background.
Restricted Backgrounds:
- Holdings. Freehold membership will be earned in character, at which point the Holdings background may become available.
- Title. Any PC wishing to begin with a title higher than x2 must be part of a fealty chain. Knights errant are acceptable - speak to us about some of the knightly orders! - but Squires (Title x1) should be sworn to a Knight.
- Influence. Many Influences are inherently banal - please speak to us about any Influences you may want.
- Treasure. At Character Creation, you may freely purchase one Treasure, rated between 1-5 points. Please look over the Treasure Guidelines above and have a rough idea of what you want, to discuss with staff.
Arts
Characters choose three (3) Arts at Character Creation which are their 'natural' Arts; these may be improved without a teacher. Any other Arts must be taught by another Changeling.
Restricted Arts (Commoners): Chronos, Naming, Sovereign
Restricted Arts (Nobles): Chicanery, Metamorphosis
OWBN R&U Restrictions
Please note that Chronos, Naming, and the 5th level of Spring are Coordinator Approval, and the Ghille Duh Kith are classified as Coordinator Notification by OWBN Bylaws; the Selkie Kith is classified as Rare, and requires a Council Vote.
Game 2/25

Game is this coming Saturday, 2/25 at our usual Winter location, the Cosmic Omelette, beginning at 2:30. As always, we encourage you to come early and get some breakfast or brunch!
Now, to IC news.
Several young women who had been missing for months have been found, and rumors are swirling through the press about some kind of white-slave trade ring active between Connecticut and India. People who were missing and under the age of eighteen will have police interview scenes to run. You may want to speak at the beginning of game and get your stories straight :)
The First Mate of the Mary Ellen, the fishing ship reported lost at sea a month ago, has been identified by his dental records. The savaged, rotted, and half-eaten corpse washed ashore yesterday evening. Those of you who deal with dead bodies and ghosts may have something to do there :)
And finally, members of both the Unseelie, Balor Guardians of the Gates, and the Seelie, Troll Knights of the Way, have recently been seen moving through the area, clearing out dangers along the Trods (and occassionally skirmishing with each other). Both are preparing to escort travellers to the coronation of Jarl Brandolf of House Aesin, to be held in just under one month in heart of the Kingdom of Apples (and Concordia): Tara Nar, the shining Freehold just North of New York City. Note, this is the Feehold of the long missing High King, David, not the Freehold of Queen Mab.
Winter Dreams

First, thank you to everyone who came to play yesterday! It was great to see that after our reinforced break, we still had a playerbase that was excited and willing to come out for the game. Now, onto IC things:
IC
On November 1st, a majority of the Kithain (Fae) in the Duchy of Mirrors simply disappeared. For nearly three months of winter, the Trods and Freeholds of Connecticut are nearly deserted. What's worse, many of these absences were noted in the Autumn world as well. Noted on the list below are all PCs for whom missing persons reports were filed. These PCs have been searched for by police, pictures placed on billboards and milk cartons in the case of those under 18, etc:

What everyone knows: From Yule to right about now Balefires have been out. Over the past week, the riders from Tara-Nar have been relighting the balefires, and all Freeholds will be back up by Imbolc in just a few days.
Finally, in recent news, a local commercial fishing boat name The Mary Ellen has been reported missing during the foul weather this past tuesday, with all crew aboard lost at sea.
Mechanical Notes: Everyone who took a share of the loot has three options:
- Purchase Resources 1 with xp if you don't have it
- Keep your current resources level for a season if you've, say lost your job do to going missing
- Take a one time item card for particular items of interest/cash equaling aproximately $10,000 US.
Hordes: There was some discussion of what horrible things may have been brewing beneath the waves while everyone was gone for nearly three months IC. We're going to be releasing a short addendum to how Dark Colony Horde Rules mesh with Changeling. For... no particular reason... yeah. You can see the werewolf/vampire version here.
Triumphant Return: 1/28/2017 Game

Hello everyone! Game is on for Saturday, January 28th at our Cold Weather Site, the Cosmic Omelette, from 2:30 - 6:30. We encourage people to show up early and get brunch, if you've never been before the food is excellent.
We're going to begin with post-Samhain scenes. What, you say? It's January? Samhain was two and a half months ago? Go with it. It will all make... as much sense as the Dreaming ever makes. We promise. And we didn't want you to miss out on the Dude, Where's my Treasure episode.

So, our normal game day (4th sturday) is literally Christmas eve. Clearly not running on that day.
We were in the Hospital again Friday evening. I'd love to schedule game for the 2nd or 3rd sunday, but I can't be 100% confident we'll actually be able to run.
With that in mind, tentatively, which would people prefer?
Cold Weather Site GAME CANCELED

As its now gotten too cold to play outside, we'll be back to the Cosmic Omelette for game tomorrow, beginning after they close (2:30pm). Feel free to get there early for breakfast!

Hey all!
We've got lots of Samhain declarations rolling in - if you haven't got around to posting it yet for your PC, please do.
Our regular scheduled day would be November 26th, which is two days after Thanksgiving. That day works fine for us, but it was suggested we take a poll to see whether a significant portion of the playerbase would have problems with that date.
Please post in the comments whether the 26th works or does not work for you.
