Character Creation
Character Creation follows the guidelines laid out in Changeling 20 and the OWBN C20 MET conversion Packet. Characters begin with 60xp.
Open Availability: Boggans, Eshu, Ghille Dhu, Nockers, Pooka, Redcaps, Satyrs, Sluagh, Trolls, and Sidhe of Houses Dougal, Eiluned, Fiona, Gwydion, Liam, and Scathach.
Please note that Attribute Traits, Abilities, etc granted by Birthrights and House Boons allow a Character to exceed their normal maximums (Boggans may have Crafts x6, Redcaps can have Intimidation x6, etc). In the case of Birthrights that grant Abilities such as Crafts (the Nocker Birthright, for example), only the type of Crafts chosen for the Birthright may be raised to x6, not all types of Crafts.
For other concepts, please speak with a Storyteller and have an idea of your background.
Restricted Backgrounds:
- Holdings. Freehold membership will be earned in character, at which point the Holdings background may become available.
- Title. Any PC wishing to begin with a title higher than x2 must be part of a fealty chain. Knights errant are acceptable - speak to us about some of the knightly orders! - but Squires (Title x1) should be sworn to a Knight.
- Influence. Many Influences are inherently banal - please speak to us about any Influences you may want.
- Treasure. At Character Creation, you may freely purchase one Treasure, rated between 1-5 points. Please look over the Treasure Guidelines above and have a rough idea of what you want, to discuss with staff.
Arts
Characters choose three (3) Arts at Character Creation which are their 'natural' Arts; these may be improved without a teacher. Any other Arts must be taught by another Changeling.
Restricted Arts (Commoners): Chronos, Naming, Sovereign
Restricted Arts (Nobles): Chicanery, Metamorphosis
OWBN R&U Restrictions
Please note that Chronos, Naming, and the 5th level of Spring are Coordinator Approval, and the Ghille Duh Kith are classified as Coordinator Notification by OWBN Bylaws; the Selkie Kith is classified as Rare, and requires a Council Vote.
War Council with the Werewolves

So, we're finalizing plans for the war council with the garou to plan the fight against the fomorian threat.
We're hoping for some werewolf guests, and we may have some other surprises in store for you.
What we'd like a quick sense of is where you all would like to play the june game.
- Our backyard. Advantages: bathroom, grill, free parking, etc Disadvantages: not as kewl
- Gay City State Park: Advantages: awesome abandoned town and lake that could sub in for dudleytown/graymere glen without us driving up to northwestern ct Disadvantages: bring your own food, less bathroom access, a little more walking neccessary, charges for parking
- Wickham: advantages: bathrooms, food for sale in park and nearby, several kinds of scenery; Disadvantages: bathrooms are a walk, as is food, charges for parking
If you guys could throw a vote up here, we'd like to be able to post a game teaser sometime in the next couple of days - both here, and on some of the werewolf facebook pages, like the beltane group

PDF is out to Kickstarter Backers. I haven't really had a chance to do more than skim since last night, but it looks good.
May and Beltane

Hello all!
Our May game this year would fall during the Beltane Campout event over Memorial Day weekend. As a result, we will not have a May game, and our next game will be in June. We encourage everyone to go to Beltane, where Changeling is a supported Genre. We will also be running a module during the day on Saturday that ties in with Graymere Glen and Changeling Coord plot.
I won't be sending sheets out for a while yet - you have plenty of time to spend XP and update everything - but please comment here if you would like your sheet sent. I believe they're due by May 12th, but I need to double check that.

Well, it looks like today will actually be a much nicer day to play outside than yesterday would have been.
That said, there's not really any leaves on the trees yet, and while we have some shade, hats and/or sunblock is a good idea.

Game THIS SUNDAY 4/23

Based on responses in the previous thread, we will be playing on SUNDAY, 4/23 at 205 Hollister Street, with game on at 2:30pm as normal. Grill is available if you want to use it, but I'll be STing so I won't be cooking.

Rumours abound that one or more of the Duchy's inhabitants has been arrested in relation to an outbreak of the New York plague one month ago. Word from New York and New Jersey is that a warband of chimerical vikings has joined the Red Branch Knights in preparing to confront the massing forces of Thallain swelling the area. All that, and several popular football players and cheerleaders at Housatonic Valley Regional High School have been suspended, too!
