A deceleration from Primogen Vaughn

by Jesse Jahn

July 15th, 2013

The Caitiff, Kyle, and his linage has been brought to my attention. This Caitiff, is not a Toreador, or a "Toreador mistake". Clan Toreador of course, does not hold any hostility towards them or him, but the  claim made before is ...unnerving. Until this is sorted out he he is a simply a Caitiff from Chicago.

Prince Blake Speaks

by Jesse Jahn

July 11th, 2013

Greetings Kindred of New Rochelle,

The time to gather is once again upon us. This coming Saturday we will be meeting at The College of New Rochelle. Since it is undergoing renovations, we will be safe and alone for the evening. I will not, repeat NOT, tolerate any destruction, chaos, or disrespect of the area in anyway. This place is not an Elysium, but it is to be treated with just as much respect. If you have any questions, please let me know, and I look forward to seeing all of you this Saturday
Prince Paul Blake.

SoS News

by Jesse Jahn

July 8th, 2013

A hostile takeover of EE&W and all its assets was made public today. Global Imports has taken an aggressive action to buying out all controlling stock of the corporation and its subsidiaries. This all comes on the heels of all three of the CEOs of EE&W leaving abruptly last month. The Investment Banking community is rather shocked at this brazen a move that has not been seen since the 80's. Wall Street will be keeping an eye on Global Investments from this point forward.

Ghost sightings in New Rochelle! Over at the historical 1800's house and on Union Street, several eyewitnesses have reported seeing ghostly apparitions out and about at both locations. So far not actual proof has been brought forth, but the number of such things doubled in the last month.

Gang violence with fireworks and other flammable accelerators it seems waere the cause of most of the destruction of property in Yonkers. A total of eight cars, two house fires and three minor injuries were reported the other night that all seem to be related and all happened between the hours of 9pm to 11pm, over on Livingston Avenue and Culver Street. No descriptions of the criminals has been supplied at this time.

Heeley Ventures once again has sole ownership of all of the New Rochelle Towers development. The city of New Rochelle is very happy that Heeley Ventures will not be reallocating their investments elsewhere and will be going ahead to further develop New Rochelle. One New bright point will be the upgrading of all the low-income housing near the waterfront of our fine city.

College of New Rochelle will be closed for renovations and a private investors gala this week. No summer semester classes will be going on from the 11th to 16th of July, no make up classes have been announced at this time.

Street Racing is on the rise in New Rochelle. City officials have remained tight-lipped on this subject, but claim that it is being dealt with.

The Zombie Run is now to be a two day and night event. Lazarus Productions along with Ralph Zombo will be throwing a free concert at the waterfront park. renting out vacant storefronts for "unique attractions", a macabre circus,  and many surprises. The City of New Rochelle is possibly also a possible shooting location for the popular cable television series, "Land of the Dead". Let's keep our fingers crossed. Tourism will hopefully bring this city only up, up. up!

Anouncement from Prince Blake

Kindred of the City of New Rochelle

As we can all testify to, big changes are happening within our city. Some of them for the better, and some of them for the worse. As I have said before, most of you have risen to meet the challenges you have faced, while others have failed to live up to their expectations. We have recently tackled one of the largest enemies we have faced so far, and recognition, both good, and bad, must be handed out.

For repeatedly facing any and all foes that have presented themselves to this domain, I want word spread throughout the city about how Jade of Clan Assamite is *Fearless. Every time New Rochelle has faced a threat Jade has always been on the front lines, willing and able, to take any actions required to defend the city from all comers, and for that, he has my respect and admiration. These actions have also had a drawback however. As we all saw the trauma of seeing so much death and blood has had a profound impact our Sheriff, and as such Jade has chosen to step down as Sheriff, to focus on his own well being for a while. As such Solstice was my first and only choice to step into the role of Sheriff, and I will name a new Scourge soon.

Combat can rattle even those of us with nerves of tempered steel, and some of us are not meant to be fighting on the frontlines, even though our hearts may long to be there to support our city. While I respect his courage for stepping up and fighting on the front lines with us, Corwin of Clan Brujah lost his cool, and his rage possibly cost a mortal life, and was a risk to the mission, and the Masquerade. As such, his name will no longer be *Feared, until such a time as he can show us that his control of his anger, is his again.

For his quick thinking in the face of danger, for putting the needs of the city, above his own needs, and for protecting the forward assault team from distractions and attacks from the rear, Dug of Clan Nosferatu is to be considered *Respected. Dug is a strong pillar within my domain, and I wish every to recognize all he has done, and continues to do, for all of us.

I would also like to personally thank Ken of Clan Setite for coming along and aiding us. His presence wasn't required, but it was noted and appreciated.

Finally I am greatly troubled by the actions of one member of my domain, someone, who until the evening of the raid, had been a shining example for all other kindred to follow. Nickolas of Clan Malkavian, having felt apparently that my Sheriff wasn't doing his job, exceeded his boundaries as Harpy and began an investigation into the disappearance of his clan mate Enzu, which is a power of the Sheriff. He then plans on stripping Primogen Eva of some of her standing within our sect for interfering in his "investigation". I look forward to hearing the proof he has to back up his actions, as they could have serious repercussions, for many within my domain.

Having made one egregious error in an evening, Nickolas then proceeded to sneak into the building with the assault teams, of which he was not a part, and after having told me that he was going to be supporting us by monitoring the alarms and security systems of EEW. Not only did he not follow through with his promise, which lead to the floor security team being ready for us, but he also appeared behind us during the combat, distracting some of my forces. Had he not done so we likely would have finished the assault quickly, and more efficiently, and with less loss of mortal life and risk to kindred life. Not only is his name no longer *Feared within our sect, I have to strongly suggest that my Primogen Council take a long, hard look at these matters, and consider if this is the kindred you want to represent our city as Harpy.
