The news is abuzz with the terrible devastation that has struck the greater Detroit area.
This is intended to be a synopsis of the information that is available, and a collection of rumors that various news networks would be spreading as no one knows what's really going on.
During the night of Saturday the 2nd rioting broke out in the greater Detroit area. People began attacking each other. Shortly after the rioting broke out communications and power grids became unstable. News directly out of the area has been sketchy every since. The rioting spread as far as to Windsor, Canada in some cases and down into Toledo, Ohio. The level of the rioting was unprecedented. As time went on power and communication disruption spread into the affected areas. A state of emergency was called by the government and national guard troops moved in to maintain the peace. Detroit was declared a "no fly zone" and incoming aircraft were diverted to other major cities.
The Press has been completely banned from the area as well as any other incoming traffic. From a distance CDC vehicles have been seen at times as well as people in protective hazmat suits. Though CDC and protected personal were not seen deployed in wide scale.
From a distance and using satellite imagery some news and private persons have gained images of the devastation that has rocked the area. Relief sites have been setup, but there seems to be fewer refugees at them then you would think would be about.
News Rumors and Conspiracy Theories that are circulating
A viral outbreak caused the citizens of Detroit to go crazy and start to attack each other.
Experts and most other news networks often dismiss this rumor though as the effects seem to have stopped and are not spreading.
The government was testing mind control satellites on the area. This rumor of course is ludicrous.
Terror attack using gas that caused the population to lose control. This rumor has gained some traction in some circles.
A short burning bacterial infection that burnt itself out was released within the area. This also doesn't make alot of sense.
Aliens...need I say more?
The Illuminati....also being shot down by any credible source.
Some psychologists are calling this a massive group hysteria that might of started from a small riot between jobless individuals and the police and group psychology caused it to escalate. While this theory does have holes it has gained traction in some circles.
Each game that wants to run this story is welcome to come up with their own crazy theories that their own news networks could be running as well. We encourage misinformation in the WoD and this is truly a terrible event.

As you can imagine it's a lot of work running two games, so I've decided its for the best that I take a Sabbat - icle until October/November. I'll be concentrating on Cry Havoc for the next three/four months, planning for our October event game in NYC, and Cry Havoc's exciting season finale.
I am confident that Adam and Vinny will take excellent care of you guys, providing tittilating plot twists and paying loving attention to your downtime activities/Character development.
Please continue posting your incredible journal entries, but direct all your IC questions/actions to Adam and Vinny until I return to you in the fall.
So long kids, see you on the fuzzier side of the Org.

Let me 1st say the current KoNY staff is as follows.
Jenn Bahrs - CM
Adam Sartori - ST - focus on mediation, combat, influence, and general game mechanics
Vinny Escriva - ST - focus on site admin, logistics and data
Aaron Neff - ST - Focus on plot development, inter-chronicle plot advancement and all things Cry Havoc
Remember all ST's have the rights and responsibilites that are outlined in the charter.
Jenn please finally remove my email from ALL lists. Anyone who wants the HST responsibility can take it. You guys are the real staff behind KoNY.
This e-mail is my official resignation from Kings Of New York as Head story teller.
Due to personal and professional conflicts I can no longer function as HST of this chronicle.
I neednt go into detail for reasons of my resignation as there is no need to create any further issues beyond the ones that already exist.
I will continue to participate in OWBN as a player untill at which time I may have to go inactive.
You all have strengths that I have tried to play up to in order to create a more successfull game. I hope you all will continue to cultivate each-others attributes.
