Make another SoS character

by Jesse Jahn

December 11th, 2012

To all our players,

Please create another character for the Seasons of Strange game. The staff would like all our players to have at least one alternative character available. We are not expecting miracles, or something fully fleshed out in concept, but it is a good thing to have available when needed.

The Every Body Gets Laid Raffle!!!

by Jesse Jahn

December 11th, 2012

So you thought that the last raffle was a fun way to support your game and for getting a little something cool on your sheet?

THINK AGAIN!!!

The Seasons of Strange staff just did some drugs with some homeless people and pulled our brains out through our asses. We came up with a list so big, so insane; we should be committed for this one! What is on this list that could be so insane? Let us just say that an 8th Generation slot is what is served for dessert at the kids table.

"Screw that!?! Show me to the Kids table!"

Yeah, say that when you see what you get for just showing up. This raffle happens at the beginning of the January game!  Why?!!

Because we are nuts!!!

You show up on time and you will win something!

You show up late… you might win something!

Did someone kick your puppy?

You might win something!

Tickets will be a dollar each. You can buy as many of them as you want. If you cannot make it, you can pay in advance and have the staff proxy you into the raffle. All raffle items will be listed on individual paper bags. You may win only one, but may enter into multiple items. If you win another item you will have to make a choice immediately as to which you will keep and which will go back to be re-raffled off with all remaining tickets in that bag (sans yours obviously). No one may trade prizes, or give prizes to another individual. If no one has put any tickets into a prize bag, it will be removed from play till staff chooses to put it back. There will be exactly enough prizes as there are participants. You as players will have to let us know which prizes are unwanted or wanted before the event starts. All prizes will have a full description printed out and available at the event.

We are not going to post the list here, but if you are a player in our chronicle, send a private message to one of the STs and we will send you a copy.

Real estate... location...location...location..

by Pat D

December 11th, 2012

Ok Folks, the time has come for us to firm up some important matters. Where do you live? We, the Staff, will be needing each and every player to make a journal entry (perhaps labeled Haven) letting us know where your character is living. Keep in mind, your lifestyle is limited by your resources.

For those without a book handy:

Resources level 0: Poverty, Get roommates and a bus pass

Resources level 1: Small savings and holdings. You have an apartment and a cheap means of transportation.

Resources level 2: Modest savings and holdings. You have a condo and a motorcycle or modest car.

Resources level 3: Significant savings and holdings. You own a housr and car.

Resources level 4: LArge savings and holdings. You own a large house or some small properties, two vehicles, some luxuries and unusual items.

Resources level 5: Rich. You own an estate and grounds, multiple small properties, several vehicles, treasures and luxury items.

Now, we have a month and a half until next SoS game. I expect everyone will create their journal entry by then. If not, then the Staff will get to decide which alley the cardboard box you live in is located. Submissions will not be in effect until they are properly logged in your Journal.

I can't stress enough, the Journal is your friend. CYA. It covers faulty memories and can be relied upon at all times. If an ST hasn't put their mark on an entry (making it offical if they approve) then bug the hell out of us until we do, this is your right.

SoS January game night change!!!

by Jesse Jahn

December 5th, 2012

Seasons of Strange has switched for the month of January to the fourth Saturday of the month. We have done this to help the Kings of New York Chronicle out of scheduling issue. This does cause a bit of short amount of time between the January and February games, but I am certain the staff will be willing to run themselves a little ragged for you during the very short downtime between games.

To reiterate:

Seasons of Strange, January 26th instead of January 12th.

Influence Actions posted to your Journals

by Jesse Jahn

December 5th, 2012

Finally, caught up and replied to all your influence actions, etc.

Please, you must note in your character journal,  all influence actions, influence simulated actions, or even influence questions. If it is not in your Journal, that means it happens off camera and cannot be confirmed later through our chronicle paper trail. That would make us... sad. Don't make us sad.

Proclomation from your Prince

by Nick

December 3rd, 2012

Kindred of the Domain The time to gather is almost upon us again, and there is important information you need before hand. First, our next gathering will be held on Elysium grounds at Glen Island Castle. The site has recently been re-secured, by Jade, Solstice, and myself, and will be more then ready in time for us to use. Second, personal weapons will now be allowed on Elysium grounds. Anything that can be concealed on your person, within reason, will be permitted. If you have to ask yourself "Will Prince Blake kill me if I bring this in?" leave it in your vehicle. I am trusting you to act responsibly, and I know you won't disappoint me. As always violence of any kind if strictly forbidden. If you have any questions about this, please ask me for clarification. “When good people in any country cease their vigilance and struggle, then evil men prevail. ” Prince Blake

Notable News

by Jesse Jahn

November 23rd, 2012

((Reported in local newspapers, on Channel 12 news and such in a nutshell))

A daring robbery occurred last night at the FedEx Depot. These were professionals who knew to disable all incoming and outgoing forms of communication, as well as the internal security systems and computer network till they were finished. They had made off with an estimated two million dollars worth of packages. Thankfully, FedEx security guards managed to finally force the crew of thieves to leave or there could have been an even higher total of property loss.

New Rochelle police have now handed this case to federal authorities for investigation.

FedEx has made a statement that they will likely have to close down this facility and reroute all shipping to various other outlying facilities, as well as a dramatic increase in the security. Some of the staff of the New Rochelle facility will be reassigned, but unfortunately, most will have to be let go.

What a terrible way to start the holidays as well as major blow to the economy of New Rochelle.
