Court of Hartford,

First, I wish to again express my gratitude to those who risked everything to defend our city during recent adversity. On nights such as these, maintaining stability can be difficult enough; we have together exceeded this challenge and conquered external threats besides. While many foes still linger in the distance, we have well proven our capability to destroy them, and our willingness to fight for the city we have chosen to call home. Your choice to do battle with our enemies instead of simply leaving will never be forgotten.

Second, I wish to formally recognize my first three court officers;

Nathaniel Bryce will serve as Hartford's Magistrate, entrusted with the duty of investigating potential dangers within the city, as well as dispensing justice to any who transgress upon my domain.

Randall Carter will serve as Hartford's Chancellor, managing the affairs of our elysium, and with discresion, officiating contracts made between Kindred both public and private.

Collette Renault will serve as Hartford's Herald, responsible for diplomatic relations with visitors, delivering all official announcements during our elysium, and representing our court to other cities.

I am certain they will serve our city well, and I look forward to selecting my final two officers presently.

As we gather this Saturday evening in the Antheneum, I want you to focus on the issue of your personal domain. To sustain ourselves discreetly, dependably, and without risk of incident between one another is absolutely essential. For this reason, and many others, I will be granting requests for personal domain within our city. Please make your desired territory known to myself, or one of my officers, and after due consideration I will grant your request or explain to you why I cannot. It is my desire that we all invest in a part of the city; to look after, possibly even improve the state of your domain. In this way, we all reap the rewards that come with a stable city under Kindred control- and we are all personally invested in its future.
