Terrible accident leads to miraculous survival and renewed hope
Late last night a terrible gas main explosion caused structural damage to the Clemen’s Place Apartment Complex in Hartford. The cause of the explosion is yet unknown, but as most residents of Hartford know, the building was unable to withstand the extent of the damage done during the accident. About 15 minutes after the explosion the apartment complex collapsed, trapping many of its residents inside. Police at this time do not suspect this to be an act of terrorism, but likely to be an industrial accident of some kind. Even still, as such, officers of both the FBI and the department of Homeland Security have been called into the investigation.
Even as efforts continue on to search and rescue survivors of this terrible accident, and the death toll continues to mount, surprise miracles seem to be happening. More people then expected have seemed to survive this accident then was initially expected. When asked the victims claimed that their prayers where answered as they lay beneath the rubble asking god or anyone for help.
Many religious leaders of the city have come to ask for everyone to pray to whatever they may believe in, in hopes that more survivors will be found. Even the police seem to be asking for prays and well wishes. As a sign of hope, people are lighting candles in their windows at midnight every night, in hopes that maybe someone will continue to listen and help save these poor people.
Even though this reporter has never found her self to be practically religious, even I can not help but be moved by this display of hope. And I will join my fellow citizens in lighting a candle for the people of this horrible tragedy.
This is Heather Hegedus Reporting for WFSB Hartford.
OOC: Every Night at Midnight Most windows in Hartford can be seen with Candles in them, this continues for a while as search and rescue efforts happen.

As per request form players here are our current combi rules:
We as a staff have turely appericate all the feedback we have gotten on this topic. In fact we have come to the conculsion that we are chaging our orginal rules in reguards to combination powers.
1) To teach a combi power you must have one of the disaplines in clan.
2) You must have been in play for one year before learning a combi power
3) Custom combi powers must have been delcared (OC)and worked towards (IC) for a least 6 months and have final approval of the storytelling staff before being allowed in game. Also the mechanics of said combi power must be on a signed iteam card
4) All combi powers need to be on a iteam card, same as rituals..
(These rules do not superceed any standing rules from coordinators... for example all Brujah combi for none Brujah have to be approved by the coordinators office)
Again thank you for your input on this matter

Just a friendly reminder:
All rituals (tham, necro, assamite...etc) and all combi powers (custom and otherwise)... need to be on a signed index card, or on a bottom of an approved character sheet in the notes sections.
There must be refernce information if it is already an exsting ritual or Combination power.
If is a custom riutal, combi power, or path of blood magic, mechnics must be written on the card, and have fianl approval from a storyteller (a stamp and signature) in Dark Colony before it is allowed to be used in Dark Colony...
This is not anything new so much as a clarification of a perexsiting house rule.

As mentioned last game the new system for what combination disciplines you may posses is now based upon clan, sect, and morality as requirments. All those with combination discplines that do not fit the requirment on the chart are grandfathered and may keep their powers. If under the Requirments section you see two thing seperated by a comma, this means you most be both (ex: Brujah, Camarilla. Means you must be a camarillan brujah). If it says or that mines you must either one of the things listed (ex: Nosferatu or Malkavian, meaning yo umust either be of the Malkavian clan or the Nosferatu Clan. The Chart is below for reference.
Thanks!
