The sharks you swim with deadly. The Kindred are the smart, sexy vampires of pop culture, but cruelty is in the nature of kindred and Hartford is one of the most dangerous cities they hold. Why come here if doing so can be a detriment to immortality?

Dark Colony: Hartford is an OWBN Camarilla Vampire Larp set in Hartford, CT. The longest running continous OWBN game in New England. DC:H is a continuation of the vampire chronicles Court of Storms and Hartford by Night (started in 1998). Set to the World of Darkness theme for Gothic Punk Personal Horror. We play every fourth Friday of the month, and aim to give you dark tales of horror, set to the back drop of a classic world of darkness.

An auction will be held the night of 9/24/10, at the next elysium.
a number of items will be up for bid, a list can be aquired at the door.
proceeds go to the Foundation for Abandoned Pediatrics, giving kids with no hope a second chance since 1984.

Ok guys here is the deal. I know we haven't gotten back to most of you on influence stuff. I truly apologize, but more staff stuff happened and we are currently still trying to work stuff out. So again I apologize and ask that you bear with me.
Now that being said we are having our normal game in 2 weeks, however I will not be there. Game will still run with the same level of awesome and dedication that we can hope to bring you. That being said I will not be there as I will be at the White Wolf event for NOLA. As we get closer to that time my availbility will become less and less (I'm helping to run it). Combined with my work on Palla Grande as well as being a Coordinator for owbn, this is a rough time for me. The other members of staff should be avaible to answer all your questions if need be. If not I will kick them in the butt.
You all have a great game whilke I'm gone, and I will update when I can. I will also post the link to my youtube videos as I vlogg the even in New Orleans, so you can all watch along :-)
Also the Hartford in October will be canceled for Palla Grande as is tradition.

Influence and you

OK Guys I have taken the steaming pile of crap that is the job of running Influence. We all know how much of a pain in the ass Influence is So please bare with me while I try and sort all of this out.
1. we are using Dark epics. your Influence should be posted in a clearly labeled journal entry Tittled something Like My Influence for August 2010.
2. your actions should be submitted as follows
Attack
Block
Boost
Combine
Conceal
Defend
Follow
Growth
Stealth
Trace
Watch
Also list the appropriate influence to the corresponding action thank you.
3. All Influence will be taken through puppet prince if you tell me at game it didn't happen I'm sorry but there is just to much going on here for me to do it all at game. also remember that most of if not all of your influences are human they sleep at night.
4.resources and Fame The only effect these have is that Fame increases the range you can try to effect and resources may be needed to grease the right palms but if that is the case there would be a scene to go with it. Also if you have Fame don't be shock when people you have never met know who you are.
5. Contacts may be used to get rumors and for the following influence actions
Follow,Trace, and Watch actions. please clearly list witch Influence you are using your contacts for.
6. Allies and Mentor if you are getting Influence from either of theses sources they are preforming the Combine action on your behalf and they may want something from you for the help.
7. You may not cross influence spheres with any action other than Allies
Example Police and Allies can be spent on police but you may not spend underworld to aid in or do anything police related
8. Past Influence
I just got this job Wednesday so I'm sorry but I can't have everything done by Friday. I know a lot of you have been waiting some time for responses. it's going to take a little longer I hope to have it all set and running by the September game.

A Few Changes
August 10th, 2010
As some of you may have noticed we have a few staff changes you should all be aware of. Kris has retired from STing and Camarilla vampire for a while after a long tenure of STing for Hartford. We thank her for her help and everything she has done over the years for the game.
With that I would like to welcome two new STs to Hartford Staff. The first is Mel, who many of you know plays Bonnie and STs at 7th Sea. I am particullary happy to have Mel on staff with us. Not only becuase she will do an amazing job, but I don't have to wear a dress and play all the female NPCs. Secondly I would like to welcome Adam Bysko once again to the Hartford Staff. Adam had been a former Hartford ST and HST and I look forward to working with him again. His shirt that claims he makes things up is banned from game though.
As one might guess we are now in a state of transition among staff, so please forgive us if not everything has been responded to you. We ask for your patients while we have staff meetings to settle things down.
