New England Nightmares - Connecticut

His Grace, Godfrey de Gonneville invites all members of his domain to an open parlor at the private chambers in the New Britain Museum of American Art. On this auspicious night, New Britain will be accepting new long term residents, as the Prince’s one month of ‘free’ hospitality comes to an end.

Those assembled will demonstrate their knowledge of the Traditions and their adherence to the vital institution of Prestation. And those that prove their understanding of these matters, will be rewarded with Hospitality.

Further to the spirit of this magnanimity, his Grace has invited the leaders of all 3 Kindred Sects in the area to present an envoy to the Domain at this parlor. Prince Gonneville will name these three envoys 'Emissaries to the Camarilla’.

His Grace welcomes you all to join him in laying the foundations upon which he will build a stable and peaceful future for the Camarilla of New England.

Journaling and DTA deadlines

While the deadline to earn XP for your DTAs was up on Sunday, you can still submit them to us if you want to take any actions.

Those of you that have not yet submitted a journal for the additional 2XP can still do so right up until game starts on Saturday.

Notes About the History Document

The history that you read in the document above is written from the perspective of an outsider to the domain. This is the version of history that the Kindred world at large believes to be true and this is the narrative that the Camarilla has accepted.

However, things are never as they appear in World of Darkness, so some of what you read will be true, some will be distorted truths and some will be outright lies.

History is, after all, a matter of perspective…

Welcome to New Britain

First of all the ST Team want to thank all of you for attending game that Saturday. It was great to see you all there!

Because of a cancelled January event, we were not fully prepared to run out the new Domain yet and had a lot of loose ends to tie up. But we hope you all enjoyed the evening all the same.

With that said, we have a few announcements about some systems, both in and out of character, that we will be running in New Britain. Some new and some that have been around but never properly implemented.

XP system

Many of you were present when we talked through the new XP system, but we wanted to remind you all, as it unique to this game. You can read it via the link below, and it is always linked on the main page above.

XP Awards

Since the system above is a bit more complex than before, the ST team will be awarding XP directly through Puppetprince. Your XP will appear on your sheet, categorized by how you earned it, granted by the Nightmares account.

Please do not add XP to your sheet yourselves! Any XP on your sheet that does not come from the Nightmares account will be removed.

To further clarify some other questions about the system.

The XP Cap

We now have a hard XP cap of 300xp, which is detailed in the document above. However the Initial 30xp that you get at character creation and up to 7xp earned by taking Flaws do not count towards this total.

Journaling

Your monthly journal needs to be submitted after the game you played at, but before the next game that we run (even if you do not attend that game) in order to earn you the XP reward.

Journals can be written diaries, audio logs, letters to an ally, or even full videos. They must be in character and contain enough details on your experience at the event to give us good idea of your perspective.

Please submit your journals in the ‘journal’ section of your Puppetprince character page. Please make your journal an entirely separate entry from your DTAs, to avoid any confusion.

Expanded Beast Traits Rules

We will be using the updated rules for gaining beast traits detailed in the BNS rules, Book 2 Issue 1. (Starting on page 97). These rules are less forgiving than the previous ones, and we will be enforcing them more stringently than before.

So be careful of committing any acts of violence or cruelty, as the Beast is always waiting to rise within you.
