Welcome to New Britain

First of all the ST Team want to thank all of you for attending game that Saturday. It was great to see you all there!

Because of a cancelled January event, we were not fully prepared to run out the new Domain yet and had a lot of loose ends to tie up. But we hope you all enjoyed the evening all the same.

With that said, we have a few announcements about some systems, both in and out of character, that we will be running in New Britain. Some new and some that have been around but never properly implemented.

XP system

Many of you were present when we talked through the new XP system, but we wanted to remind you all, as it unique to this game. You can read it via the link below, and it is always linked on the main page above.

XP Awards

Since the system above is a bit more complex than before, the ST team will be awarding XP directly through Puppetprince. Your XP will appear on your sheet, categorized by how you earned it, granted by the Nightmares account.

Please do not add XP to your sheet yourselves! Any XP on your sheet that does not come from the Nightmares account will be removed.

To further clarify some other questions about the system.

The XP Cap

We now have a hard XP cap of 300xp, which is detailed in the document above. However the Initial 30xp that you get at character creation and up to 7xp earned by taking Flaws do not count towards this total.

Journaling

Your monthly journal needs to be submitted after the game you played at, but before the next game that we run (even if you do not attend that game) in order to earn you the XP reward.

Journals can be written diaries, audio logs, letters to an ally, or even full videos. They must be in character and contain enough details on your experience at the event to give us good idea of your perspective.

Please submit your journals in the ‘journal’ section of your Puppetprince character page. Please make your journal an entirely separate entry from your DTAs, to avoid any confusion.

Expanded Beast Traits Rules 

We will be using the updated rules for gaining beast traits detailed in the BNS rules, Book 2 Issue 1. (Starting on page 97). These rules are less forgiving than the previous ones, and we will be enforcing them more stringently than before.

So be careful of committing any acts of violence or cruelty, as the Beast is always waiting to rise within you.

February 19th 2022 Game is On

Posting in the new puppet for the New Britain game as well as the old chronicle, apologies for duplicate notifications.

New England Nightmares is on for Saturday February 19th 2022.

At Friendship Lodge #33 6:00PM the doors will be opened.

76 Main St, Southington, CT

We will be wrapping up (hopefully) all remaining scenes for the New Haven edition of New England Nightmares.  If time allows staff will also be available for open discussion of the New Britian / Hartford chronicle, as well as character creation.

If all goes well, we hope to have our game in March be the first official game in the new setting.

I also want to take this time to thank Chris, Seth, and Lurch for providing us this setting that we have all loved for 7 years.  If it weren't for you 3, we all wouldn't be here today.
