 A Celebration of Immortality

To all Kindred of the Domain of New Britain,

You are all cordially invited to attend a party held by Sheriff Donovan Campbell of Clan Ventrue to celebrate the ascension of his Progeny, Francesca "Frankie" Capatossa, to the status of Ancillae. 

With the first fifty years of her immortal life now behind her, Prince Dorian Balik will not only acknowledge her and grant her hospitality in the Domain of New Britain, but will also recognize the wisdom and dignity that comes with both age and blood potency.

As is traditional in many Domains, an informal Symbel shall be held by his Grace. All members of the domain will present the new Ancillae with a gift of their choosing in open parlor. The gift which his grace deems to be the most interesting, poignant or creative shall be declared ‘Victorious’ and be awarded control of valuable location within the Domain.

The celebration shall be held aboard the On-the-River Casino boat, on June 17th. The ship will dock for the private party at the Waterfront Weir in Wethersfield. 

The Sheriff expects all kindred in attendance to conduct themselves with respect to his position, while aboard his boat.

The next game will incorporate a Camarilla tradition known as a Symbel, which is a competition between vampires to earn recognition and status with the Court. Each Kindred is expected to publicly present the new Ancillae with a creative and unusual gift, with the Prince observing. 

• If any players who have already submitted their DTAs would like to change one of them to seek out, purchase, craft or invent a gift for the Symbel, you can do so over the next week, but make sure you inform the ST team that you have updated your DTAs. 
• A gift can take any form, from a master crafted weapon to something as simple as a piece of written wisdom. 
• To be considered part of the Symbel, the gift cannot be a Boon
• The kindred whose gift most impresses the Prince will earn a Fleeting Status and will be given a location to control with some rare and unusual traits.
• All Kindred who do not bring a specific gift to present, must give a Trivial boon to the new Ancillae as a mark of respect and apology.
  • Neonates who choose this option will not hurt their standing very much, but Elders and Ancillae who do not participate in this Symbe will be seen as ‘dull and uncivilized’ by the Prince and the court and could lose Fleeting status.

This ‘coming of age’ ceremony is a well known tradition and has been a part of Camarilla courts for centuries and was even practiced millenia before the Ivory Tower arose. It symbolizes everything that Camarillla holds valuable: Age, Tradition, Blood Potency and Hierarchy. To snub this ancient Tradition would be unthinkable and unwise.

Thank you for coming!

Thank you everyone for coming to the game last Saturday. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves. 

It was great to see everyone and welcome another new face to the game and see the return of a familiar face to the player team.Our next game will be on Saturday 17th of June.

DTAs & Journals

• To gain full XP for your DTAs this month, they need to be submitted by Midnight on Sunday 27th of May.

• As we said at the game, please note that DTAs that are submitted after the Sunday before game, will not be considered valid.

• Journals need to be submitted before the start of the next game to earn XP.

• Remember that if you were unable to attend the event, you can still earn XP by submitting your DTAs and a Journal describing what your character was up to.

Feeding Difficulty

Feeding Difficulty remains at level 1. So only 1 DTA of Feeding, or 1 level of the Herd background is required to arrive at the next game with full blood!

The exception to this is the territory of West Hartford, which is in a great degree of chaos at the moment. If you wish to feed here, the feeding difficulty is currently at 4!

During your DTAs if you do not specify where you are feeding, then it will be assumed you are feeding in your Clan’s territory.

Annexation of New Territory

After the successful takeover of the territories of Farmington and West Hartford, Prince Balik continues to claim new land to add to his Praxis. This month the following territories have been annexed

Glastonbury

This Territory was formerly controlled by the violent and uncouth Anarch gang known as the Razors. As the Razors have officially departed from the Domain, Prince Balik determines that this valuable territory is now unprotected. It is for the good of all Kindred in Connecticut, that he takes Glastonbury under his protection.

For the moment, Glastonbury is open for any Kindred in the domain to hunt and feed in and is to be considered an extension of ‘The Rack’ until one of the Pillar Clans makes a successful bid to own it.

Manchester

This territory is densely populated, and has a rich history of arts and culture. Prince Balik, as a Toreador, is honor bound to preserve and uplift both. And thus, he feels it is solemn duty to add this territory to his Domani.

As above, Manchester is open for any Kindred in the domain to hunt and feed in and is to be considered an extension of ‘The Rack’ until one of the Pillar Clans makes a successful bid to own it.

These new territories are now considered to be part of the Domain of New Britain, which means that players may now patrol, investigate and use Influence actions to affect them during Downtime. There are many potential new Stock Locations in these areas to control.

Patrol Actions

• Any players that spend one of their DTAs Patrolling one of these Territories will raise the Security level, and make it much more difficult for any other supernatural forces to challenge the Prince’s claim. 
• Patrol actions will also reveal potential Stock Locations for takeover and can potentially root out any independent Anarchs who have not yet withdrawn.
• Remember, spending more than one patrol action per player in a single territory has no additional effect. Multiple players spending one DTA patrolling the same location is the way to maximize security.
