Seasons of Strange

Seasons of Strange is a multi-genre chronicle. We will primarily be playing Vampire, Werewolf, Mage and Changeling. Other genres may be adopted into our rotation as well in the future.

Till further notice, we will be playing Werewolf: The Apocalypse.

Werewolf

The native people of the lands of Dutchess County have returned to reclaim what was theirs. The Garou are doing so as well... Some things that were thought gone, have been hiding in plain sight. Take back that which was and that which has yet to be from the agents of the Wyrm.

Recover it.

This is a Werewolf game set in Dutchess County, NY.

Vampire

Welcome to New Rochelle, a fairly new domain. Prince Martinez has now claimed this odd little Domain as his. Maybe this is the place for you to make a name for yourself? Perhaps this is where you wish to start up anew? Many things will come to pass here as with any fledgling Domain, nothing is written in stone and the only certainty is the changing of the seasons.

Your NEW HST!

Hello, all and welcome to the NEW Seasons of Strange!

As we all know Jesse needed a break after running an amazing game for almost 3 years. He did an amazing job, and we thank him for that! I am going to try to answer some questions that I am sure people have and ask for feedback from our players!

First, will the game change? Of course it will. Every storyteller/game master is different and runs things differently, however, Seasons of Strange will stay true to the spirit that Jesse and Pat started with that first game 3 years ago in August. House rules will change, NPCs may be run a little differently, new NPCs will show up, the list goes on, but the flavor of Season will still be the same. Now I am SURE you are all burning to know, will there still be Asylum Games now that Jesse has stepped down? Of course there will. I would never deprive my players of an evening of mind-bending madness.

Second, I want your feedback! To any Seasons of Strange PCs, both past, and present, let us know what you have liked about game, what you didn't like about game, what you would love to see in game, what do you think of site, what do you think of staff, what issues do you think you may have with me stepping up as HST? Discussion: Influence Deadline Changes

As was brought up at game, a request for discussion about a hard deadline change for things has been asked for.

The way it currently works:

Staff meeting is generally the weekend before game. Every staff member has a list of things to discuss, from character XP requests that are unusual, to plot ideas, to responses to players.

After ther meeting, I finalize as much paperwork as possible: rumors, influence actions, etc.

People who post things after this date have their submissions become less likely to be addressed propoerly.

At game, people receive their influences responses and rumors.

The change:

A hard deadline is instituted. Submissions after the deadline, at a minimum for influences and backgrounds, will be denied.

During the week, assuming the IC response time is possible, players will receive influence and background resposnes before game. Rumors will still be received at game.

The hard deadline would be a necessity for this, because otherwise, situations will crop up, where, for example:

Jesse submits his influences before the deadline, and gets his response.

Charlie, after the deadline, submits something that would affect it. Without the hard deadline, I have to recalculate the effects on influences, and possibly reprint a rumor sheet.

Post hard-deadline, I have to redline information to a player, who may have RP'd on the info.

Staff would like feedback, on how players feel about this.
