Hey guys, I was having a talk about helping some new players out and it got me going about player activity. I'm going to be introducong some new rules about how we play the game.
1 - Scenes that involve three or less pcs with an st are going to be capped at fifteen minutes.
2 - Being locationally challenged without an st is disallowed. Do not leave the play area without an st. Please don't hang out in the ooc area. It's hurting game.
3 - If you are waiting on a ticket please remain IC in the play area untip tagged. My staff has been instructed to skip you if you are ooc.
Requests to pc leadership
1 - Please establish feeding territories.
2 - Please open and close game with a main room interaction.
3 - Try to push things like status when possible.
Lastly, we are experiencing a very high percentage of non cam pcs. At this time new non-cam pcs are disallowed. We also encourage non-cam pcs to also please make a greater effort to participate in main room rp.
I know ot will have some growing pains but please guys, I believe it will encourage better rp.

To the Domain of Hartford
"
I had the honor and privilege to work along side many of local citizens to remove the threat of the Infernal Tower from the domain. It showcased what we can achieve when differences are put aside of a greater goal.
I also would like to take this opportunity as I am *Respected * as Tremere clan primogen, I find Seneschal Ora Primrose's actions to be *Resourceful*. Placing herself at great risk to to get the information needed to be successful in taking down the tower.

Effective immediately, Influences are no longer allowed to be used during our live-action games. They are limited exclusively to Downtime actions between games. The 4 hours that the Kindred of Hartford gather once a month are meant to be used for holding Court and being social with one another, not for getting on the phone and calling up their mortal pawns to direct them through complex maneuvers in the infrastructure of the city. Influence actions take too long to see any immediate benefit from them and thus will be used only during Downtime.
The Puppet Chronicle “Dark Colony: Gilded Cage” will become active once again as I step up to handle all Influence actions for the Hartford game. The Dark Colony Influence Guide (found here: Influence Guide) will still be used, though expect minor updates to it soon. The Edge will also be updated soon and be implemented once again in the coming months.
Influence actions must be emailed to staff at darkcolony@googlegroups.com with the word INFLUENCE and your PC’s name written in the subject line. Influence actions refresh once a month after our live-action game on the 4th Friday of the month.
I’m going to start asking for more detailed descriptions of everyone’s Influences so that I can interact with them in a more meaningful and story-driven way. “Spending Influence” has been an abstract and passive process for many players and ST’s alike in this game for too long in my opinion. I would like to reinforce the Camarilla genre of our game by making Influence something to engage in rather than just “spend” like cash to make problems go away.
There is also a new system I am putting into place, also effective immediately, to keep track of the strength or weakness of the Masquerade in the City of Hartford and its surrounding region. Please refer to this document here for more information: Masquerade Rating System
I will eventually have a Google Forms thing for you all to fill out to make using your Influence a little easier. And I’ll also have a form to fill out to get those descriptions of your Influences from everyone, which will probably mean a lot more human NPCs being named and developed. Fun times! This is just to follow up from friday night.
All emails you do must be CC:ed to the darkcolony@googlegroups.com email group. As I said then loddy doddy everybody. Do not send things only to lex's pesronal email, we will direct you if you are nto to cc the entire staff for some reason.
Also this makes things easier for us should we have to research things.
Also any formal communication wtih a subcoodr or coord needs to happen in email format also. What do I mean by that? Talking concepts, approvals, interactions with NPCs etc all need to be CC'ed to our staff list.
