Info Gathering PSA

Hey folks,

This isn't a new ruling or anything more of just a heads up so every one is on the same page.

A lot of people are trying and have been trying to info gather.

It boils down into two categories long term and short term.

Short term info gathering is gaining a quick piece of info to go running with, or what do you gather from a specific scene.

Long term Info gathering is trying to get whats going on in the grand scheme of things whos running the show, the big picture, the whole painting of moving objects. The grand design the patterns make.

For short term info, your asking at game or running scenes online is fine, either way and if staff doesn't get back to you poke us, please. We may also let you know if what your looking at is long term stuff.

For long term stuff please focus on down time questions and expenditures. Long term stuff may include notes, other games, or information that isn't right in our hands for that night.

Now both means will be used hand in hand in many cases. So your at game or quick entries for short term investigations can be tied into the long term stuff, and the cases that it does will be used to help players lead into the plots and expenditures of the long term story and modules.

players investigating other players will be held in the same fashion but obviously will be scrutinized differently and timing will run different (as it all ways does)

If any one has any old journals or emails that they were doing for investigations or plot chasing that are pending in the past few months please poke them and we will get info to you no later than next game (if we do have to wait for next game we will let you know in your post)

This is just a heads up on how will be sorting this out.

Hey Guys,

I forgot to say this last night. Many people do this already, but We'd like to make it uniform. Please post your Xp in your journals so staff can give the approval.

Starting this month moving forward So we can just all be on the same page. Stamford and other games playing locally are following this model so we would like to keep something similar for the purposes of book keeping.

Nee this year

So to keep transparantsy with every one I'm letting everybody know that the budget for this year's NEE is small, about 500 dollars small.

I'd still like to do something and dch and the local staffs will be kicking around some ideas.

This wasn't ment to be last minute I just learned of this in the short weeks I've stepped on. So I want to work this out as best we can.

I would really like some ideas. Post here if you would like, if you want to email staff that works to, or even shoot some ideas our way at game they are more than welcome.

I'd like to start planing and fund raising for the 2015 nee starting after the new year so we have better preperations for the time to come.

Let me know whats on your minds with this.

A comment about scenes cunducted off game night.

First I want to thank every one who's been talking to Rob Cohn and Myself with feedback for DCH.

So a topic that came to attention was the ability for st's to know whats going on and have the ability to run scenes with out having to run to the HST.

Of course this is supported, and we have plans to make sure this gets enforced staff side.

Some notes however:

1. Soft rp( ie simple quick conversations or phone calls) done between dch characters at other owbn and non owbn games, or during down time. These happen we all do them you don't need an st for chit chat. (if an st IS needed these are better done online or a heads up email to staff to over see it is cool.)

2.Combat run for DCH at other owbn games or non owbn games. This isn't a practice that should be held, and will not be supported. (scenes such as these needs to be brought to staff well in advance and should very much be run at DCH, or if its pcs vs npcs have a downtime day set aside to handle the scene. if done at other owbn games then needs to also be brought to the Staff of that game as well. And these scenes should not be run at non owbn games for any reason (unless we have approval from that game to utilize the site ect.) In short contact staff and set something up especially if its for a not not designated for DCH.

Trying to contact npcs or engage in dch controlled activity while at other games should not be a common practice. Staff is either pc'ing in that game or not there and its not DCH time, its something to be handled during down time away from other games, where staff can give full attention.

The point to take from this is to please give staff an advanced notice that you need a down time scene run. Trying to get something started on the spur of the moment will cause confusion and end up with some one not having the information needed to handle the scene.

We are going to try this again.

The BNS vote will be happening before we have game. I want to see what people would like to do.

If you withhold your vote say withhold.

DO not type anything else, or opinons, that is not what this post is for. there will be no speculations or "rules calls" that The HST and staff have not openly endorsed. (we will make a note when and if that becomes relevant.)
