From the desk of the HST

Over the last few days there has been a lot of miss-communications, tempers flaring, and drama.  Its grown out of control and gotten everyone caught up in it, even myself, and I need to apologize for that.

First things first.  I have heard a lot of issues that players have had over the last few days, however, very few people have come to me directly.  Let me make one thing perfectly clear.  I am the HST, if you have a problem, with another player, with a staff member, you come to me directly.  I can not resolve issues with 10 players coming to 4 different storytellers. 

Second, Nothing has been red lined, retconed, or changed. Nothing will be red lined,retconed, or changed.  Everything that has been run is going to stand, as is.  There have been many different stories about what has actually happened in game.  A clear time line of events will be posted as soon as I can verify the details.

Lastly, the drama ends now.  Everyone take some time to calm down and get some perspective.  I will be available to anyone who wants to talk, but any issues will be brought to me and me alone.

NEWS: Local Teen Abducted on Saint Patrick's Day

Local Teen Abducted on Saint Patrick's Day

Karen Westcastle-Smith is a petite brunette woman, whose tear-streaked face has "worried mother" written in every grief stricken line.  A school portrait of her seventeen year old daughter, Anne, is displayed proudly on the mantle.  By every account, Anne is a good girl:  kind, generous, on the honor roll every semester at her school.

She has been missing since Saint Patrick's Day.

"She was supposed to be at her friend's," she sobs.  "Anne said she wanted to prepare for her English presentation with her friend, and we dropped her off... she was going to stay the night."  

Her husband, Howard, puts a supportive hand on her shoulder and looks grim, but his eyes are red-lined as well.  "I blame myself.  This never would have happened if I had just put my foot down.  I knew she was running with a bad crowd.  I should have grounded her the second she got suspended from school.  I never should have let her go out of the house.  Anne, if you're out there, if you're reading this, please come home.   We love you and we're scared to death.  Please come back to us."

Anne was last seen walking out of Kitty O'Shea's on State Street, wearing her favorite Twilight t-shirt and a black skirt.  Her friend, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, swears that they got split up once inside the pub, a claim that is backed by security footage.  Eyewitnesses saw her leave O'Shea's around nine-thirty, but were unable to give any description of her companions.

If you have seen Anne, or know someone who has, we at the Globe beg you, on behalf of Karen and Howard, to call Detective Gerald Connolly with the Boston Police Department.  There is a $25,000 reward for information leading to her safe return or the arrest of her captors.

Augusta Burns, Countless Dead or Missing

Augusta, Georgia is engulfed in flames as multiple fires rage. At 6:10 this morning, Georgia Governor Nathan Deal and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley declared a state of emergency as fires leave hundreds homeless and countless of citizens and rescue workers dead and missing. Riots have been springing up in local shopping districts all thought the night aslocals take advantage of the lack of police presence. When asked if the National Guard would be declaring martial law, Deal would only say “FEMA is already on the scene . . . The Georgia State Reserves and the National Guard are being mobilized in across the state as we speak to aid in the evacuation process”. Augusta Fire Chief Howard Willis told reporters today that emergency phone lines were being inundated with reports of missing and injured family members. “We are in the middle of our very own Katrina, but I’m pretty sure it’s the Devil that’s angry with us” said Willis. The cause of the fires is unknown. However one city official speculated to reporters that terrorists may be involved: With fires springing up in and around city hall, police headquarters . . . you just can’t tell me that that’s a coincidence. Seventeen fire houses burned tothe ground for God’s sake. Someone is telling Augusta to go straight to hell and then pushing us into the furnace! Mayor Deke Copenhaver at a press conference this afternoon declared that he will not leave Augusta until every last person has been evacuated. When asked about a rumor that the fires were started by DEA agents raiding local meth labs, the mayor had this to say “I am not aware of any federal government raids in Augusta…I would be the first to know”. As thousands escape, drivers are urged to maintain caution as all Augusta highways are designated one way evacuation lanes leading away from the devastation.

St. Patrick's Day!

This Friday is part of the weekend long St. Patrick's day party in Boston.  Get your Irish on, and drain a frat boy full of cheap green beer dry!

St. Patrick's Day in Boston is celebrated in conjunction with the tradition of Festivo, which varies region by region.  Regardless of what the Cainites do on the religious front, the blood of the kine flows freely into waiting Cainite mouths.  Drunken debauchery is everywhere in the streets of Boston.

Festive attire encouraged.

Sorry for the late announcement, but we jumped on running this camp out event with Hidden Flame, the Rhode Island Werewolf game relatively late.

Details and a more formal announcement will be coming soon.

At a campsite in Orange, CT, Boston: the Cradle of Liberty, will bring you 2 nights of fire dances, sermons of caine, games of instinct, and some serious sect-rocking politics in one of the creepiest settings Cthullu-country has to offer.

The campsite has cabins with electricity (and mattresses) including a handicap accessible cabin, parking for 75 cars, a dining hall, indoor showers, a stone amphitheater, and a few other cool things.  And most importantly, we've got the entire site to ourselves.  We can scream bloody murder and praise to the dark father as loud as we please and as late as we please.
