Tonight, you become one of the Kindred, the beautiful and the damned who hide behind our ordinary world. Driven by a hunger like fire, you will struggle to maintain your humanity while immersed in a vicious society of monsters.
The sharks you swim with deadly. The Kindred are the smart, sexy vampires of pop culture, but cruelty is in the nature of kindred and Hartford is one of the most dangerous cities they hold. Why come here if doing so can be a detriment to immortality?
It makes you feel alive.

Move over Bourbon Street, there’s a new dog in town. Hartford, the Rising star of Connecticut has overnight become the place to party. The streets of the city are filled with people come to celebrate and have a good time. In a city better known for insurance than its night time party scene, this sudden welcome change in events has boosted the city from suffering (due to the recession) to what is turning into one of the top tourist spots in the country.
This recent surge in celebration comes off of the decision of the heads of the state’s finance department. Taking millions of dollars being pushed into Hartford county’s education and job market, they chose instead to funnel those funds into the nightclub, bar, and exotic dancer market of central Hartford, in turn expanding them greatly. While the other areas of education and job creation might suffer from it, this expanding and bold plan to increase the attraction of tourism seems to have paid off. The streets of downtown Hartford are packed with people, so much so that at times it is virtually impossible to drive through them. So successful this project has been, it is rapidly expanding to all areas of Hartford County, and who knows how far it can go. The move has turned out to be so popular with the people of Hartford and those that have come to visit, that a new Casino is being constructed in the middle of down town. After having seen what both Foxwoods and Mohegan have done, the mayor of Hartford feels that such expansion into his great city will only help drive the fires of attraction that much more for the fair city. Construction on this new Casino dubbed “The Temple” has begun this month with hopes of finished construction in the late summer to early fall of 2011.
For this reporter it is a welcome change to an otherwise despairing few years. Hartford has gone from a jobless crime ridden city; to one many people wish to visit. And we all encourage you to come and experience what Hartford has to offer.
