It has begun

by witch hammer

March 18th, 2011

This is in relation to org passed Meta-Plot, so please take it ic people :-)

All Brujah in Hartford until such time as you told otherwise, you all suffer the following.

  • Nightmares Flaw. Considered to auto lose the chop, are down 1 trait on all Mental/Social/Phys challenges due to the constant distractions of the images from their dreams.
  • Celerity over the coming nights radically and randomly increases in power.  In some cases you find yourself moving at speeds faster than you knew existed at the most random of times.
  • Potence over the coming nights also radically and randomly increases in power, similar to celerity.
  • All Brujah do not regain Willpower through natural rest as per normal.
    • Brujah are locked in a near constant frenzy, in which they instinctively seek out fellow clan members and attempt to diablerise them. Self Control/Instinct challenge is required to resist the urges. 12th gen test vs 2 traits, 11th-8th vs 3 traits. 15th-13th are immune to this frenzy, but are still subject to being targets by those of better gen.

This check is made each night upon waking, and any time another clan member is encountered. No magical or mundane disguise works against this, blood calls to blood. If they fail the chop, they must seek out the nearest clanmate and try to diablerise them. This happens regardless of their Path, past friendship, or personal desires.  I would rule the Viniculum would also not stop this if we go this route.

  • Willpower may be spent to stave off the fratricidal frenzy for a scene. Must spent traits equal to the difficulty, so if you're 8th gen, spend 3 willpower as it's a 3 trait stimulus.
  • You all start displaying unusual behavior randomly.  You find yourselves speaking in a ancient tongue (Punic for those with Linguists, and a second unknown language on occasion).  You have flashes of memories, Blind Rage, of a great and ancient walled city, of a time when Vampires where lords and gods of the night.  This aspect is largely RP based, combined with this unbelievable Hunger you have never felt before should be shown in your RP.

Enjoy!

Also if your Brujah you get a vision, but that I will give in private, just send me a message asking for it.

Thanks!

The Edge

by Lex

March 2nd, 2011

It is no secret at this point that with the passing of Upton Rowlands, Marcus Edwards and that fox, Victoria Rowlands there is a large void in the heart of mortal affairs. This has left a large number of of common folk who normally resort to acts of villainy in exchange for payment from shadowy things in alleys without said creatures to fund their addiction to blowing lines of cocaine off of the asses of glorious escorts. This in turn has caused these individuals to have largely opened their set of contacts and skills to the highest bidders. The "Edge" if you will that these mortals can provide is something of an opportunity for young kindred to use to vastly improve the production of their influences.

The Edge is obtained via a bidding system using a set of influences and backgrounds which will be detailed below. Quartery control of the edge may shift via this bidding process. After One year of trying this has happened, staff intends to put the mechanics of this to a majority vote by our players to determine if it's effects come to an end or if we continue using the mechanics. (The use of the Edge is to be considered a living document and something that can be changed during the year, so suggestions are more than welcomed.)

Characters may venture to expend for the bids together, however when group ventures happen the group must agree together on the effects of the Edge every time it sees use. The Edge may be used twice per month and may be used during game for immediate effects.

The uses of the Edge are as follows:

  • 4 characters of the controller's choosing are brought to full blood capacity.
  • 1 character of the controller's choosing has their starting blood pool reduced by 2.
  • The controller may use one of their influences for an immediate effect. (This does not count as that sphere's expenditure for the month.)
  • The controller may take an influence 6 action of the influence sphere appropriate to the Edge controlled.
  • May controller may take a free "watch" action on another Edge.

The Rack - (Downtown)

The North End

The South End

Bidding

Characters can bid for the respective Edges using the following formula. Biggest initial bid wins control of it for three months.

Influence - 1 for 1
Influence of appropriate sphere -1 for 2
Allies - 1 for 1
Contacts - 1 for 1
Resources - 1 for 2

Beltane 2011

by witch hammer

February 17th, 2011

So while the NE event will be our Big event (hopefully we get the Conclave) in November. The Garou games of the Northeast are still going to me hosting their event in May.  I have offered my services to help run something (be it Sabbat or Cam) at the event for them.

My question is, how many of you would go and what would you like run?  Sabbat or Cam?

here is the info:

Hey guys,

A more formal announcement will be coming soon.  We apologize for the late confirmation, but Beltane 2011 is on!  It will be held in Orange, CT.

We've found a new site that is much superior to the flop that was last year's site (which was great until every other person in the New England area decided to camp there too).  This time around we have cabins with electricity (and mattresses) including a handicap accessible cabin, parking for 75 cars, a dining hall, indoor showers, a stone amphitheater, and a few other cool things.  And most importantly, we've got the entire site to ourselves, so we don't have to worry about the crowds that showed up last year.

Also, this year we are pairing up to hold a vampire event alongside the Garou one.  Our kind and generous (*cough*) Sabbat coord, Adam, will be running Vampire plot there.

Again, it will be Memorial Day weekend (May 27-30), so that's just over 3 months from now.  The fee will likely be $40 with pre-reg, $50 at the door.  We may tack on like another $5 for dinner on Saturday, that is still to be determined.  Keep in mind though, this includes lodging, so unless you really want a hotel room, you won't have to absorb that cost along with your event fee.

The more formal announcement will be coming soon, but let us know if you have any questions.

Fallen Lore

by witch hammer

February 1st, 2011

So our awesome Demon Coord (he really is) passed a new packet for being all infernal and stuff.  After speaking to him and how his packet works, I am requesting all PCs with Fallen Lore higher then one either respend that xp or move it over into Demon Lore.  That is to say no PC may have a Fallen Lore rating higher then 1.

Thanks,

~Adam
