Tonight, you become one of the Kindred, the beautiful and the damned who hide behind our ordinary world. Driven by a hunger like fire, you will struggle to maintain your humanity while immersed in a vicious society of monsters.
The sharks you swim with deadly. The Kindred are the smart, sexy vampires of pop culture, but cruelty is in the nature of kindred and Hartford is one of the most dangerous cities they hold. Why come here if doing so can be a detriment to immortality?

Dark Colony: Hartford is an OWBN Camarilla Vampire Larp set in Hartford, CT. The longest running continous OWBN game in New England. DC:H is a continuation of the vampire chronicles Court of Storms and Hartford by Night (started in 1998). Set to the World of Darkness theme for Gothic Punk Personal Horror. We play every fourth Friday of the month, and aim to give you dark tales of horror, set to the back drop of a classic world of darkness.

Masquerade Rating Update - May 19th

Local efforts here proved to be enough to stabilize the Masquerade and cover the breach from the April gathering. However, the substantial efforts that were sent into the city of Hartford from other Domains outside of Connecticut were enough to not only aid in stabilizing the Masquerade, but those efforts actually strengthened it.
Instead of dropping to 2, the Masquerade Rating has risen up to 4. No breaches happened during the May gathering, therefore it remains at 4.
At a rating of 4, there are no modifiers to any Influences. But there is still a -1 to starting Blood at game due to less people being out on the streets at night. The panic is gone, but the fear remains...

Reminder: May Influences

Reminder to submit Influences for May before this Friday, especially if they pertain to fixing the damage caused to the Masquerade last game.
I'll be answering Influences that affect the city of Hartford directly and the Hartford game, while Ashby will be handling Influences that involve Anarch NPCs and/or actions that happen in Meriden or elsewhere outside of Hartford.

This includes Growth actions. Do not assume that posting in your journal that you're Growing your Influences means that it happens automatically, and do not raise your Influences on your character sheet without ST approval first.

So with the new rules we're trying out and some new stories being introduced, we'd like to get started with a quick player meeting to touch bases with everyone and get everyone on the same page. We'll try to make it brief enough to get everyone playing and having a good time.
