I would like to have our first session sometime in October if that works for everyone else.
I am absolutely not opposed to waiting until November and trying to have two games in November if that is what people would like to do (it would also give people more time to work out their character sheets and make ties and such).
Below is my work schedule for October. If there is just a date (e.g. "Sunday October 3") with nothing written after it, then that means that I have the entire day off on that day. Days listed with parenthetical notations after them are typically going to be days where I am working, but on which I get off in the afternoon and would still be able to run a game with certain restrictions on when it would have to start or end.
Sunday October 3
Monday October 4
Saturday October 9
Sunday October 10
Tuesday October 19
Wednesday October 20
Friday October 22 (I work from 6 am until 2 pm on this day, leaving the evening open, but really only until about 10 or 11)
Saturday October 23 (I work from 6 am until 2 pm on this day, leaving the evening open, but really only until about 10 or 11)
Sunday October 24 (I work from 6 am until 2 pm on this day, leaving the evening open, but really only until about 10 or 11)
Thursday October 28
Friday October 29 (I work from 10 am until 8 pm on this day, leaving the evening open for game, but only after 8:30 pm)
Saturday October 30 (I work from 10 am until 8 pm on this day, leaving the evening open for game, but only after 8:30 pm)
Also, I have spoken to the Domain Storyteller of the local Camarilla Fan Club Organization and have been advised that their schedule is "ever changing". More specifically, there was a recent decision made by the Storytelling Staff that their game schedule would not be a set schedule, but would be reevaluated on a month by month basis based upon Storyteller availability and such. This makes it difficult to schedule around their games (which it is my desire to do...don't want to step on anyone's game)...but I will do my best to work with what they have going on.
Here is the Camarilla game schedule for October (Possible Overlaps between their game days and my availability noted in Red):
Oct 1: Requiem
Oct 2: Lost
Oct 8: Open
Oct 9: Awakening (Possible Overlap Here)
Oct 15: Open
Oct 16: Sabbat
Oct 22: Open (Optimal Day! No Camarilla Game, and I get off work at 2 pm but would have to end game around 10 or 11 pm)
Oct 23: Geist (Possible Overlap Here)
Oct 29: Forsaken (Possible Overlap Here)
Oct 30: Krista Halloween Party (Don't really want to walk on this party...I will figure out what time it starts. If it isn't until late then so be it...but at least two people who want to play in my game live with Krista and will no doubt be helping with the party and such)
Please! Discuss!!!

Well...the real biggie of the Con was a cinemtic preview for WW's upcoming MMORPG "World of Darkness", and the announcement that the game would be utilizing the Vampire: the Masquerade settings material rather than the Vampire: the Requiem continuity. As far as when it will be released...well, the official answer for that one is not 2010, not 2011, and possibly 2012...but probably not. In fact, the game will be released when they are good and damned ready lol. These things take time.
My favorite piece of information, and the part that really applies to all of us here, is White Wolf's immediate plans for its out of print product.
White Wolf has long had a partership with DriveThruRPG.com, a subsidiary of OneBookShelf.com. OneBookShelf is a purveyor of high quality digital download .pdf roleplaying game books and supplements and is the sole carrier of the White Wolf brand in digital format. As my wife and I checked in at the Convention Operations table at The Grand Masquerade we were each handed a brand spanking new copy of Laws of the Night Revised (the Vampire: the Masquerade LARP book that we will be using in this game). In the CCP/WW presentation the following day it was revealed that WW would begin releasing a number of their OWoD Masquerade titles in Print on Demand format, and would gradually be moving toward offering their entire catalogue as Print on Demand. What this means is that you will soon be able to go on DriveThruRPG.com and purchase all of the OWoD books that you would like and have a print copy of the book mailed to your door. I am sure that prices will be comparable to the origina MSRP of the book in question (so probably between $14.99 and $39.99 or so depending on which book it is and whether you want it in hard back or soft back or on matte paper or gloss...etc...etc...etc...). I also anticipate that this is our first notification that WW will soon not be printing any physical books at all. If they have a web site where they can sell .pdf copies of their books, and where people who want a hard copy can simply have one made at their leisure, then why would they incur the MONUMENTAL costs associated with producing a full print run of each of their extremely niche gaming books. Better to sell to a captive audience exclusively and rely upon word of mouth and the internet for advertising and attracting new fans. Anyway...that last bit is just my own speculation...but the rest is factual.
I was also told by the guy who is in charge of WW's e-commerce site that they are doing a complete overhaul and that they plan to start releasing a new line of OWoD T-Shirts, some version of the OWoD Clan Pins (They may not be the old clan pin style where the pin was trimmed to the shape of the image. I actually bought some OWoD Clan Pins from WW at the Convention, and they were small buttons with a black background, white clan symbol, and a traditional pin and hook button back), Clan symbol embroidered patches (Jasmine bought the Malkavian one and I am sure that she would love to show it off to everyone...they are very well made patches as far as I can tell), Mole Skin journal books emblazoned with your favorite Clan Symbol or a Camarilla or Sabbat style ankh (for the discerning harpy lol), and a whole plethora of other merchandise...the likes of which have not been offered in over 6 years.

I should have access to my October schedule very very soon.
I am going to take note of everyones availabilities, consult my work schedule (should be variations on Thursday/Friday, Friday/Saturday, Saturday/Sunday as far as days off each week), and consult the local Camarilla Fan Club game schedule as I do not want to step on any toes, and a number of our players are also Camarilla members. I'm probably going to create a chart with all of this information so that I can visualize which days are best for the most players, but with understanding that there can't be a game on a day that I am not off from work...for obvious reasons lol.
After the game has ran at least once and I have gotten a taste for how many people there will be, how active said people are going to be, and various other factors, I will start seeking out at least one Assistant ST and at least one Narrator...but more to come on that later.

Survey results so far...
9 Total Respondents
Mystery/Suspense - 7.78
Social/Political Intrigue - 7.33
Personal Subplots - 6.67
Supernatural Elements - 6.56
Action/Adventure - 6.00
This clearly shows that the 9 of you who are signed up here have a clear preference for Mystery/Suspense and Social/Political Intrigue. Only one person gave Action/Adventure a rating of 10...not sure who...but whoever you were, rest assured that if your PC is into head busting then I can supply that for you. I don't believe in invalid character concepts, unless they blatantly crap all over canon or something.
There have been 9 responses so far...so everyone on here has taken it. I have 30 people on the Facebook group, and a couple of new guys who are on Meetup.com. I have to do something to get everyone signed up on this site lol.
