Welcome to New Haven.

Worse than it's real world sister, New Haven in the World of Darkness is an awful, destitute city overrun with drugs, gang violence and police corruption. The jobless and uneducated whisper about urban legends of human trafficking and organ thieves. Every now and again, someone says they saw something but it's never long before that person stops talking about it or is found later. mutilated almost beyond recognition and left out for all to see in the morning. This is a place where everyone is afraid and no one makes it out.

The Packs

Elm Haven Dynasty - The pack has seen better nights. With the loss of their Ductus Snaptooth in an Monomancy years ago they have slowly fallen to the wayside as newer packs emerge and take over the city. The Ductus, Trent is a Toreador Antitribu on Path of Orion and some could say he will die soon to something he cannot fight.

Kool Kids - Made entirely of demented child embraces, this pack tends to unnerve even the most stone cold Sabbat in the city. They come and go as they please, often dragging along their hapless pet ghoul "Miss Teacher" and play ultra-violent Games of Instinct. Their Ductus is a mysterious Cainite named "AntiChris" who who is regarded by locals with a degree of infamy. In recent nights they have seen their numbers all but disapear due to actions taken in Hartford. Only two of them survived and they have started building their numbers back up once again.

Lickity Split Posse - Harkening back to the heights of ICP popularity, this pack of rejects has managed to corner much of the heroin game in New Haven and does surprisingly well for themselves. They're obnoxious and aggressive, comprised primarily of Brujah Antitribu and Tzimisce. Members of the pack carry a signature hatchet and tend to wear face paint to formal occasions, especially Monomacy.

The Midnight Ride - These Gangrel Antitribu and Panders keep watch of the train station. They're a loyal Sabbat pack with years of service. Unfortunately they had a feud amongst themselves a few years back and during a particularly trying time most the pack was destroyed. They are recovering still and have since buried the hatchet on the feud to help the Sabbat as a whole. 

The Shadow Aristocracy - Wealthy and powerful group of Cainites who were once tied to the former Archbishop Edward Rowlands. This pack is rarely seen since his betrayal, preferring to avoid what they consider sad remnants of the once glorious New Haven force. Their Ductus is Ramona Suarez, the daughter of a once infamous cartel who follows the path of Cathari.

 

The Others

The Zantosa Revenants - Owners of the most popular Esbat location in New Haven (Toad's Place), the Zantosa family keeps New Haven in good spirits, providing a wide assortment of part favors and generally looking out for the local Covens. As a rule they do not take sides in most Sabbat conflicts instead providing support for diplomatic solutions.

I hope everyone is excited for this month's session of 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐲: 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧!

 

Our next game is this upcoming 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 9/14.

 

After defeating the infernalist that has been plaguing their diocese for the past half a year, New Haven seems to be entering a period of stability. How long that will last is anyone's guess, as reports of werewolf attacks continue to increase among local Cainites and Palla Grande draws ever nearer.

August Game Date, Saturday 8/10!

Get ramped up for this month's session of 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐲: 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧!

Fresh back from our break, our next game is this upcoming 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 8/10.

Due to members of Staff being out of state during the time for next month's normal game date, Dark Colony: New Haven will be taking a breaking during the month of July.

After detroying the Tremere responsible for cursing one of the diocese's promising new Cainites, the Sabbat of New Haven have been riding high. That, however, is about to change as a recent enemy stirs in the night and comes seeking vengeance against the coven of witches and demons.

May Game

I hope everyone's excited for this month's session of Dark Colony: New Haven!


Our next game is this upcoming Saturday, 5/11.


Having made a new ally in the old Tzimisce librarian Catalina, the New Haven's hopes for uncovering exactly what the agents of the infernal were trying to keep hidden have been preserved. While the city's packs jockey for territory in the diocese's most prominent locales, the consequences of self-defense descend upon the Sword of Caine.


Once again, game will be held at the Masonic Lodge in Southington (66 Main St, Southington, CT 06489). Doors open at 7pm, and Game-on is at 8pm.

April Recap

April 4/13

  • Something occurs among the agents of the Black Hand which is internal to them and occupies much of their time for the evening.
  • Those with prophetic powers receive a vision during the time of the eclipse, which coincides with the earthquake that happened simultaneously.
  • The pyramid in Rockville, CT was investigated in an attempt to locate old Harpy records from Hartford’s time as a Camarillan city.
  • Amari Zantosa revealed that a long-dormant Elder of his clan, Catalina Dascalu, had awoken, and that her ancient library might hold information the players sought regarding the recent infernal activity.
  • A group of PCs investigated the abandoned Chantry that Nemesis had been located in, and they found documents noting the names of former Chantry members. Their plan is to narrow down which might be alive, and track them down to determine whether any of them are the individuals who laid the cursed necklace upon their Gargoyle compatriot.
  • Catalina Dascalu’s manor was assaulted by Black Spiral Dancers, and the players mobilized to fend them off. They arrived on the scene and split into groups to help defend the elder and prevent her library from being burned to the ground. In the end, Catalina was defended, but her manor was in severe disrepair. The library was in tatters, and PCs reported a group of demons scouring the library for a particular book during the mayhem. These demons reportedly departed with the book they located, but while it may take some time, Catalina has implied that she can recoup some information about it once her library is back in order.

April Game

Get pumped about this month's session of Dark Colony: New Haven!

Our next game is this upcoming Saturday, 4/13.

With the definitive, yet temporary defeat of the Infernalist lurking in the Diocese, it would seem that New Haven has earned itself a bit of a respite and can take the time they need to collect themselves. But, enemies are not the only things clamoring at the gates, and old one-time allies of the city have begun to resurface in pursuit of unknown goals. Join us this weekend to find out what those might be.

March Recap

March 3/9
  • Trent Jackson arrived at the Festivo esbat to perform a Ghost Dance for his fallen packmate Lorenz Ortega. All of Trent’s remaining packmates were present, including the often absent Ductus named Snaptooth, except for a single member who was conspicuously missing. After the ritae, the pack left to track down their wayward packmate.
  • Jade and Nara-kai performed further investigations of the Ring and Pentagram structures beneath the region, and learned that the ring is drawing in positive energy to feed the Pentagram, which is leading to the imbalance of negative energy in the region that is causing things like spontaneous zombification, the death of plant life, and a rise in necromantic energies.
  • A group of Cainites tracked down the location of the dagger, which led them to a residential home in East Granby. They arrived at the same time as a black ops team, and they watched as the team breached the home in search of an individual they were sent to kill. The Sabbat recovered the dagger and some background information from the home, while the head of the Black Ops team confronted them about what they were doing there. The man revealed his identity to be Cesare Madison, an associate of Lorenz Ortega’s, in search of vengeance for the death of his murdered friend. After the Sabbat turned the home and the mercenaries into an impromptu Haunted House game of instinct, Cesare established a tentative working relationship with the Sabbat and offered the current location of the Infernalist on the condition that he was allowed to participate.
  • A group of Cainites tracked down the remnants of the Elm Haven Dynasty pack, who were looking for their missing packmate. During the search, the group was beset by demonic imps and they discovered that the missing packmate had been abducted by the infernalist, presumably to be used as another sacrifice. The group and the remainder of the Elm Haven Dynasty pack followed the trail of their missing packmate.
  • The two groups of Cainites merged at the site of the Infernalist’s latest ritual, a third floor corner apartment. They pincered the location from the apartment door and the living room’s windows simultaneously, and discovered the infernalist having seemingly just completed the ritual. In the brief time they had, most of the Sabbat launched a barrage of successful attacks on the infernalist while some attempted to rescue the torpid form of the Elm Haven Dynasty’s missing member. Ultimately, after being rendered almost completely helpless, the Infernalist was seemingly rescued by his demonic patron, though it is unclear what consequences to the Infernalist might result from such a necessary evacuation.
  • In the aftermath of the rescue attempt and the assault on the Infernalist, Elm Haven Dynasty, along with any Sabbat who wish to, rushes to their fallen packmate to assess the extent of their injuries. They discover that, while the body is not decomposing or turning to ash (which would symbolize the death of the Cainite), their packmate is not able to be awakened by their various attempts to rouse him from Torpor. A scan with Aura Perception reveals no discernible aura. Those with the ability to sense such things can identify that whatever ritual the infernalist was attempting to perform here was completed, probably moments before their arrival. Cesare Madison, frustrated by his inability to contribute meaningfully to the conflict, recuses himself from the situation after making calls to ensure that there will be no undue trouble with mortal authorities as the result of the rather destructive engagement in the apartment.

February Recap

February 2/10

  • Trent Jackson approached Croc about Trent’s dead packmate, Lorenz Ortega, and about the occult connection to his murder. Croc relayed this information to the esbat, and several of them went to investigate. They discovered the ashes of Lorenz’s body amidst a smattering of unpoliced dark thaumaturgical accouterments, and they were able to get a supernatural glimpse at a hooded figure robed in black with a smoky face. They also learned that whatever this ritual was, it was only a small piece of it.
  • A team investigated the strange tunnels beneath the region. Through trial and error, they discovered that the tunnels formed a ring and a pentagram, each of which were unconnected. The ring was filled with Tass, while the pentagram was filled with a bloody, shadowy substance which Jade was able to identify as an enormous Oubliette.
  • A group investigating reports of a school bus full of children discovered that Antichris was attempting to repopulate his pack. A defunct daycare center was set aflame and the children were killed.
  • After regrouping at Esbat, the empty warehouse on an island in the Quinnipiac River was attacked by a horde of animated zombies. After a cursory investigation, the Sabbat learned that the bodies had been animated from various cemeteries across the city, and that they had no memory of who or why they were summoned. When the bodies were interrogated about why they attacked the sabbat, they only knew that they felt drawn to the Sabbat as if possessed of some great anger.
  • After dealing with the zombie attack, a group began furiously searching for the hooded figure from the reports of Lorenz’s murder. While unable to hone in on his exact location, they were able to narrow down the scope of their search to East Granby, north of Hartford. A Koldun was able to mystically spy on the ritual knife used in the Dark Thaumaturgy ritual that killed Lorenz, and they have narrowed down its location to a building in East Granby.
