MEMBERS WHO ARE NERVOUS/UNCERTAIN ABOUT MAKING THEIR FIRST CHARACTER...

are welcome to use this form

which will walk them through some questions needed to make a character, instead of following the instructions below. A staff member will, within 36 hours, create your character for you based on your answers and send you log-in information from puppetprince.com as well as additional instructions for entering play and customizing your character sheet.

CREATION HOW-TO

1) In another window or tab open: http://puppetprince.com/chronicles/69-madhatterr-games-presents-vampire

2) Create an Account.

3) Go back to: http://puppetprince.com/chronicles/69-madhatterr-games-presents-vampire

4) In the box that says "Venue Information" click the link that says, "Join Chronicle."

5) Click "Characters" at the top of the page.

6) Click the yellow button on the upper right of the page that reads "Create a Character"

7) In the input box where it says "Unnamed" ... enter the name of your character.

8) Be sure the circle that says "Vampire the Masquerade" is selected and click the gray "Create" button.

In this picture you'll see we've indicated the "edit" link for the top section of your sheet. Go ahead and click that.

10) Enter the name of a clan you want to play. If you're not spending player points your choices are: Brujah, Gangrel, Malkavian, Nosferatu, Toreador, Tremere, and Ventrue. You can find descriptions of these clans here: http://myworldofdarkness.com/mgpedia/index.php?title=Category:Clans

11) In the box labeled sect you can choose which political faction your character is a part of. You can be part of: The Camarilla, The Independants, or The Anarchs. Descriptons of all the sects can be found here: http://myworldofdarkness.com/mgpedia/index.php?title=Category:Sects

12) In the box labeled sire you can put the name of the character who turned your character into a vampire. If you don't know yet, just put "Unknown."

13) In the boxes labeled nature & demeanor ... A character's nature is the type of person she is at her very heart - while her demeanor is who she pretends to be for the world to see. These things can be the same but this is rare as people are seldom so transparent. Choose one nature and one demeanor to start the game with. These may change with ST permission. You can find descriptions of the nature and demeanors on pages 73 & 74 of Laws of the Night Revised.

14) In the section called generation put 13. In willpower section put 4. In the blood section put 10. These are the starting statistics, your bloodpool will change with generation which is a benefit of our Subscriber levels or of Player Points Purchases. For details on this process check out pg. 95 in Laws of the Night Revised.

15) Once all that is done - click the gray "save section" button.

16) Use the information from our Character Creation FAQ as a guide to filling in the rest of the sheet. If this is the first time you've made a character sheet and you don't feel comfortable choosing your own starting stats from the book... open this link in another window/tab: http://myworldofdarkness.com/mgpedia/index.php?title=Category:Clans Find the clan you'd like to play and on that page you will find sample character statistics that you can use as is or alter to fit your needs.

17) Enter the sample character statistics into your blank character sheet. An example... if you were playing a Brujah you can see that his sample character sheet has the physical traits of: Brutal x3, Dexterous x2, Resilent x2

On your blank sheet, in the long entry box under "physical traits" above the gray add button type the word Brutal.
Across from the word Brutal (where there is a #1 by default) change the 1 to a 3
Click the gray "add" button and notice that Brutal 3 has been added to your character's stats!
You'd repeat the process for Dexterous ... 2 and Resilient ... 2 thusly completing the entry of physical traits for a brujah.

18) Once all the statistics from the sample character sheet are entered into your sheet & edited to fit your desires and your satisfied, scroll back up to the top of the page and on the upper left find the "finished editing" link. Click it.

19) Click "Journal"

20) Create an entry called "Approval" and in the body of the post just type the word "Approval." This journal entry will be replied to when a staff member checks your character. You do not have to wait on a staff member to begin play in our game, however. As soon as your sheet is correctly submitted you may create your introduction post on our boards.

22) In the Venue Information box at the upper right of your page find the link that says "Submit a Character" Click It.

23) Choose your character from the drop down menu and click the gray "submit" button.

24) To verify that all was done correctly look at this page: http://puppetprince.com/chronicles/69-madhatterr-games-presents-vampire And look to see if your character is listed in the "Newest Characters" block. If so... you're done!

25) Return to myworldofdarkness.com and start play! http://myworldofdarkness.com/vampire-introductions-board/announcements.html Remember you do not need to wait for a response to your journal post.
