Hi guys. Despite bringing my laptop with me in a misguided attempt to get to some office hours, I was in the Boston area all weekend and never opened my laptop. So I stretched my rules a little bit and answered some player emails outside of that, and I think I'm caught up. Let me know if I'm not.
Accordingly, if you end up needing a time sensitive response to me due to event stuff, or you're signing into an online game, just put URGENT in the front of the subject line and I'll prioritize that. Misuse of this will result in me ignoring your emails until regularly scheduled office hours.
Ruby Tuesday (late Sunday Funday update!)

Hey, I said my regular office hours were going to be Sunday, but I fucked off and went to the Big E instead because it was the last day. and Monday we had a stealth staff meeting, so you get a Ruby Tuesday update.
Progress: The search for a winter site proceeds apace. We may have to play at Connecticut Gaming Center for at least part of this winter.
House rules are being worked on. Wheaton's Law applies heavily. Don't be a dick.
Glasswalkers can use Dark Colony's influence rules for growth of influence. All other Garou are still buying it at 3 xp per dot, sorry.
I have Renown for three PCs. Do some heroic shit and fill out the forms.
I think we've tackled pretty much every email we had, please let us know if we missed anything with a bump. Again, DO NOT CC MY PERSONAL EMAIL. Just send it to staff.

I know folks are going to Samhain and need approval for XP expenditures, so I'm gonna be looking at those as I get them. This is currently the only exception to my office hours this week.

Sunday Funday Update, Round 1
September 23rd, 2018
Hey gang, this is gonna be kind of a long update. But we have a lot to go over, so let's get to it.
I don't think I said this at the player meeting. (Some of you may have noticed I'm not great at public speaking.) But I would be incredibly remiss if I didn't thank Kris, Bruce, and Marc for the blood, sweat, and tears they've poured into Dogs of War and Howl of Revolution. Buy them drinks, give them hugs (ask first), and generally give them love and affection.
Let's recap what we discussed at the player meeting. Most of this is pretty self explanatory, but if you have questions leave them in the comments and I'll be happy to answer questions.
- Moving site of sept location to Hammonasset. I am still scouting out suitable beach locations OOC, but we'll be having our season opener at Meigs Point/East Beach, Hammonasset in March or April. More importantly, we have to find a winter site. I'm open to hearing your suggestions.
- I'm going through a sheet audit, to see what's in our game and get an idea for where to go forward from here. If you have R&U, please send us an email.
- Speaking of emails: send all emails to dogs-of-war-staff@googlegroups.com. Please don't CC my staff email (ashton.a.bush@gmail.com) for scenes if you already have the googlegroup on it. It's a huge pet peeve of mine. Don't use my personal email.
- Game funds. I'm setting it up so you can pay via Square or Paypal! Basically self explanatory. I've set up a bank account to be used for game funds only.
- Item raffle! More announcements on that to come. This will be used to help fund our winter site, and will have some pretty fuckin great prizes.
- House Rules. I'm doing a thorough, bottom-up examination of the house rules. This is gonna take some time.
- While I'm doing that, if you guys could use the renown form, that'd be fantastic. Don't worry on assigning a numerical value to how cool you are. Just write what you did that was honorable/glorious/wise, and I'll take care of the actual numbers.
- I need you guys to start thinking about the following: your Kinfolk, locations you've made in game, your PCs' lives. I'm going to be asking you for all the info and collating it into a doc to provide a library of information going forward that we can use to flesh out our world.
- Lastly, THANK YOU. I'm incredibly pleased with all of you, and your willingness to roll through this time of change. I think we have a really great season prepared for you, and I hope you stick with us for a long time to come.

Hey guys! Some points of order, general housekeeping, and FAQs for Dogs of War.
PLAYER MEETING/LIGHT RP NIGHT: September 21st!!!
Points of Order
- We will not be having a September game on the 15th due to a Maine Sabbat trip. We will be having a player meeting/light RP night on the 21st, which would have been Howl of Revolution's game date. Remember, weekend days are split this month.
- I'll be assisting Dora Jay and efforts to help two Iowa players who have been displaced from flooding in their state by selling retests -- Dora will have more info once the retests are available, and I'll post it here.
- Topics to consider for the player meeting:
-- what kind of plots do you want to see?
-- when's the last time your PC challenged for rank, and how hard has it been for your PC to get renown?
-- what's your favorite part of Changing Breed genre?
-- what do you think of a Garou/Fae/CB weekend event in the late summer, early fall? Obviously not for 2018, but I'm looking ahead to 2019. If there's interest, I'd look into booking a campground. There's also been some discussion of a beach game.
FAQs
1) why are you making this announcement, Ash?
Because I'm your new HST! I want to thank Kristina for her years of service, and also thank Bruce for being willing to stay on staff.
2) what happened to Boston Garou?
To create the best environment for both games, DoW and Boston have merged. This also means Marc gets to play!
3) Will DoW keep playing on its normal time?
Yup. Same bat time, same bat channel. We'll be outside in the summer, spring, and fall (maybe Wickham Park), and I'm considering options for the winter site. If we end up having to play at CGC in Waterbury, we will have to charge a fee to players.
4) Hey, I never have cash. You understand. Can I PayPal you for game or something?
Absolutely. I'm looking into getting a Square reader. If that doesn't work out for our situation (I need to do research), you can PayPal, Venmo, or Google Pay me. I'll be posting those links pending research. For the retest donations, I can also collect money via PayPal/Venmo/Google Pay.
