This is a Vampire: The Masquerade Chronicle, set in Springfield, IL. S:CCC is a member chronicle of One World by Night.

TIPS When entering data, make sure you take advantage of the "tab" key to jump to the next field.  There are also drop down menus that will appear so you don't have to type everything.  For example: to enter the physical traits "Graceful 2", you would open the editing frame, tab to the physical trait box, type "gra" (and it will prompt you with Graceful), type tab again and "Graceful appears in the box, type tab again to be in the number box, type "2", and press "return/enter."  After a few, you get pretty fast.  You can also click in any of the trait boxes to get the full drop down menus for times like character creation.  

PUPPET PRINCE & JOURNALS This forum can be used to leave game notices like cancellations, site changes, etc these announcements will also appear in the OCC and IC list serves and on the Facebook page.  Also, note that there is a journal for each PC.  This is readable ONLY by the owner and the ST's of any chronicle to which that PC has been submitted.  Use it to: Tell ST's what your PC is doing or thinking. Tell ST's what your PC is learning and when you want to spend XP on something.  They can reply with the comment "Approved" This lets you keep a paper trail in the event of an audit.  I also suggest that when you convert from Grapevine, you save out as an rtf with XP log.  Cut and paste the Grapevine log into the journal.  Preserve your paperwork.  

EXPERIENCE POINTS When you want to make an expenditure, you should make note of it in your JOURNAL.  An ST will read that and comment on it with an approved.  Then you can go ahead and change your sheet.  Submit the request via email as well.  When you get a response back, comment in your own journal that the expenditure was approved and, if you want, paste a copy of the email approving it.  I'd especially do this with things that require coord or sub-coord approval.  You should also use the XP log to make 0 point notes about other changes to your sheet like, "April 1, 2010 -- Used Aegis and removed one WP."  You should know that the STs do not get automated notices when you enter items in your XP logs.  So if you need something approved like XP from a foreign game or an expenditure, you MUST note it in your Journals.  A new Journal entry does get a notice sent to the STs or at least noted to them when they log into Puppet Prince.   So making a journal entry should mean that they know to come and approve your stuff.  If you ever need to review your XP log back further than the listing on the main page, you can "print" your sheet with the XP log.  Instead of continuing with printing after the print version loads, just cancel the print and look at your XP long on the print version generated by Puppet Prince.  

FORMATTING When you are inputting a character, please observe the following formatting conventions so we all stay on the same page both within the chronicle and other OWBN chronicles. Please use your character's full name - the name you sign in under.  

If the character has a craft, expression, hobby, lore, performance, professional, or science, you need to designate what kind.  Keep in mind that some abilities you think of as stand-alone are actually one type of the above ask an ST if you are unsure what the ability falls under.  For example, if you have Acting, you would enter it as "Performance: Acting".  Or if you have Disguise, you would enter it as "Crafts: Disguise".  Please note this is not a specialization.  It would be possible to have, for example, "Science: Biology", "Science: Chemistry", and "Science: Geology" all on the same sheet as different abilities.  If you are noting a specialization, do it like this:  Firearms (Pistols)  If a level of your ability is free to you as a clan advantage, note it the same way you would a specialization.  

Likewise if you have an ability or attribute as a result of a merit or flaw, please note it beside the ability or attribute.  EX: "Bestial (Glowing Eyes)"  Please include what languages you know from linguistics in the Notes field.  Please indicate which is your native language.  For example: "Linguistics: Spanish (native), English, Russian, German."  

Please sort your in-clan disciplines to the top of your discipline list.  Especially if you are Caitiff.  Please alphabetize your attributes and abilities.  You can alphabetize your other things too, if you want.  On the other hand, if you want your influences to be at the bottom of the background list, you can do that too.  You may, if you wish, note after each attribute what class that attribute comes in.  Please use str, dex, sta, man, app, cha, wit, int, per, & misc.  EX: "Brawny (str)"  

If you are inputting your retainer, please precede its name with the name of your PC.  For example, if Mirakatsu has a retainer named John Doe, you would name it, "Mirakatsu: John Doe"  Note that if you submit a character to the Chronicle which has been checked as an NPC, it will not be displayed as having newly joined.  In fact, it will be invisible to all but storytellers.  

When logging XP, please begin with the date of the game or the date of the expenditure.  EX: "January 15-16, 2010 -- Midwinter + travel + event + ST point."    

JOINING To join a chronicle, first, you have to join.  Then you also have to join your character.  These are two separate steps!  If you have any questions, please ask an ST.   Thanks to Dan Brackman for his tips for administering this and providing most of this material!
