Madhatterr Games Presents: Werewolf

MEMBERS WHO ARE NERVOUS/UNCERTAIN ABOUT MAKING THEIR FIRST CHARACTER...
are welcome to use this form:

which will walk them through some questions needed to make a character, instead of following the instructions below. A staff member will then create your character for you based on your answers - you will receive an e-mail for your login info to puppetprince.com, as well as additional instructions for entering play and customizing your character sheet!

MANUAL CREATION HOW-TO
1) In another window or tab open: http://puppetprince.com/chronicles/135-madhatterr-games-presents-werewolf
2) Create an Account.
3) Go back to: http://puppetprince.com/chronicles/135-madhatterr-games-presents-werewolf
4) In the box that says "Venue Information" click the link that says, "Join Chronicle."
5) Click "Characters" at the top of the page.
6) Click the yellow button on the upper right of the page that reads "Create a Character"
7) In the input box where it says "Unnamed" ... enter the name of your character.
8) Be sure the circle that says "Werewolf the Apocalypse" is selected and click the gray "Create" button. Please pick an appropriate name for this game or you will be asked to change it. No famous names like Lestat or Edward Cullen, and no screen names like xx_Wolf_xx. In this picture you'll see we've indicated the "edit" link for the top section of your sheet. Go ahead and click that.
10) Enter the name of a tribe you want to play. If you're not spending player points, your choices are: Black Fury, Bone Gnawer, Child of Gaia, Fianna, Get of Fenris, Glass Walker, Shadow Lord, Silent Strider, Silver Fang, Uktena and Wendigo. 10) Enter the name of a tribe you want to play. If you're not spending player points, your choices are: Black Fury, Bone Gnawer, Child of Gaia, Fianna, Get of Fenris, Glass Walker, Shadow Lord, Silent Strider, Silver Fang, Uktena and Wendigo. 11) In the box labeled auspice you can choose which moon phase your character was born under. You can be an Ahroun, Galliard, Philodox, Ragabash or Theurge. Descriptons of all the Auspices can be found here: http://myworldofdarkness.com/showwiki.php?title=Category:Auspices
12) In the box labeled Breed, select Homid or Metis. Metis are not for beginners, so please be aware of the In-Character ramifications of choosing this Breed. You may not play a Lupus without first purchasing the option in the Player Point store at myworldofdarkness.com.
13) In the boxes labeled nature & demeanor ... a character's nature is the type of person she is at her very heart - while her demeanor is who she pretends to be for the world to see. These things can be the same but this is rare as people are seldom so transparent. Choose one nature and one demeanor to start the game with. These may change with ST permission. You can find descriptions of the nature and demeanors on pages 66 of Laws of the Wild Revised.
14) In the section called rank, put Cliath (Basic Members may choose to also play a Cub and Subscribers Plus! may choose Fostern). Leave the title section blank. In the Willpower, Rage and Gnosis sections, fill in the information for your breed and auspice. For details on this process, check out Laws of the Wild Revised.
15) Once all that is done - click the gray "save section" button.
16) Use the information from our Character Creation FAQ as a guide to filling in the rest of the sheet. If this is the first time you've made a character sheet and you don't feel comfortable choosing your own starting stats from the book... open this link in another window/tab: http://myworldofdarkness.com/showwiki.php?title=Category:Auspices and select the auspice you wish to play. There are sample character statistics that you can use as is or alter to fit your needs.
17) Enter the sample character statistics into your blank character sheet. An example... if you were playing an Ahroun you can see that his sample character sheet has the physical traits of: Brawny x2, Ferocious x2, Nimble x2, Robust
15) Once all that is done - click the gray "save section" button.
16) Use the information from our Character Creation FAQ as a guide to filling in the rest of the sheet. 17) Enter the sample character statistics into your blank character sheet. An example... if you were playing an Ahroun you can see that his sample character sheet has the physical traits of: Brawny x2, Ferocious x2, Nimble x2, Robust
- On your blank sheet, in the long entry box under "Physical Traits" above the gray add button type the word Brawny.
- Across from the word Brawny (where there is a #1 by default) change the 1 to a 2
- Click the gray "add" button and notice that Brawny x2 has been added to your character's stats!
- You'd repeat the process for Ferocious x2, Nimble x2 and Robust thusly completing the entry of physical traits for an Ahroun.
18) Once all the statistics from the sample character sheet are entered into your sheet & edited to fit your desires and your satisfied, scroll back up to the top of the page and on the upper left find the "finished editing" link. Click it.
19) Click "Journal"
20) Create an entry called "Approval." Then send a PM to JuliaH on myworldofdarkness.com. You do not have to wait on a staff member to begin play in our game, however. As soon as your sheet is correctly submitted you may create your introduction post on our boards.

21) Surf back to: http://puppetprince.com/chronicles/135-madhatterr-games-presents-werewolf
22) In the Venue Information box at the upper right of your page find the link that says "Submit a Character." Click It.
23) Choose your character from the drop-down menu and click the gray "Submit" button.
24) To verify that all was done correctly look at this page: http://puppetprince.com/chronicles/135-madhatterr-games-presents-werewolf and look to see if your character is listed in the "Newest Characters" block. If so... you're done!
25) You're now ready to make your introduction! Head on over to http://playvampire.com/new-player-introductions-board/ and make your first in-character post! If you get confused, just read some of the other posts on the introductions board to get a feel for getting in-character!
26) To have your character approved for full-play (including being able to participate in challenge scenes and the combat board), please notify Werewolf Storyteller or JuliaV through private message that you need your werewolf approved.
